I completely agree with you Grace. I also prefer Arabian Knights due to the formula. I have three Lip Chics and although I love the colour and effect, the need for frequent re-application ends up drying my lips (although they are admittedly very dry to begin with). Like you, I love the slight stain left behind by the Ilia and I was very happy to find out the last time I visited Conten Beauty

Hi ZP - Violetta has no brown tones at all to my eye. I think it's a bit brighter than Damask, which is more of a dulled berry to my eye. I don't own Damask though - the only other ones I have are Amaryllis, which is a very bright red-pink and Bourbon Rose, a more muted rose.

Violetta is very pretty, and I also love Lip Chic. Do you know how Violetta compares to Chante Lip Chic in Damask? I am curious is Damask is more or less brown. (Trying to avoid brown in my lipsticks now and go for the more blue-based ones.)
