Bright Winter face of the day

So, this is my own take on Bright Winter make up. I'm wearing Dior Addict lipstick 865 Collection, NARS Mata Hari blush, Dior Bikini eyeshadow (a sparkly pink) and Laura Mercier Black Violet kohl pencil.

I'm also wearing a scarf from www.mypashmina.com that is matched to the 12 Tones Bright Winter palette - there are matches from all the seasons/tones on the True Colour Australia blog www.truecolour.com.au/blog. I love this colour.

What was your lipstick application technique?

    1. Thank you! I just slapped the lipstick on from the tube - no special technique :)

  2. Ok, I must confess I went to try this lipstick, it so happened that the only opportunity to do so was at evening lights, so it looked more bright on me, learned to more kind of "true red", though a bit pinky...On you it doesn't look strong, it looks organic.

    1. It's interesting, isn't it? I can slap this on and it doesn't look startling. Stiletto, on the other hand, while softer, looks heavy on me.

    1. It's amazing. Part of me was a bit sceptical, but everything I've picked up that matches the BW fan works so well. It's a bit like having a superpower - knowing what colours will work :D

  9. Wow! You look fantastic. I mean, you always look lovely, but as you know these colors make a profound difference. You're making me think I need to look into having a color assessment. I could use the help! :)

    1. Hi Sam - I'm trying really hard not to sound like a SciArtologist ;) but it's been incredible. You know how some colours just work brilliantly, but when you try to figure out why and replicate it it doesn't always work? This is a shortcut to getting that effect, consistently. I randomly bought two cotton cardigans that match my fan, didn't try them on, not colours I'd usually pick - they look great. If it won't bore everyone to bits, I might make a video showing fan matches v non matches.

    1. Hi - I just emailed her on the email contact on her blog. She doesn't always respond straight away to emails - but it's quite straightforward :) If she has an appointment spot, you reserve it, pay a deposit a month before your PCA and then the balance on the day of the appointment.
