There's a sale on at the L'Artisan Parfumeur online shop now: www.artisanparfumeur.com, but the Covent Garden store has a few extra items in the sale and some products that have already sold out online, like the 50ml The Pour Un Ete.
I bought 100ml of Navegar, a marine salty (but not ozone-aquatic) woody/spicy fragrance, and Fou D'Absinthe shower gel. If you are in London, it is worth making a detour. (Drivel Kate - if you're in London you need to have a sniff of Navegar).
Navegar is quite light and wears close to the skin, but I prefer that in a fragrance. I have been debating between Miller Harris Fleurs de Sel and Heeley Sel Marin, and Navegar has stepped in and settled the argument at half the price of either. If you have tried and liked the Haus of Gloi Picaroon scent you would probably like Navegar.
Navegar was £46 for 100ml, and the shower gel was £16 for 200ml (both in the sale).

Dear Grace, I have and love Navegar :D (IIRC snagged it in one of the past sales when they announced it was being dropped in favour of dull old Eau de Navigateur....?) <3 You know my ways so well.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's quite funny :) L'Eau du Navigateur is now in its turn being discontinued.
DeleteGosh, this is really interesting as I've been wavering between Fleurs de Sel and Sel Marin for ages too. Sounds like I should give this one a try. Another one in this vein, apparently, is Parfums de Nicolai Weekend a Deauville. I'm going to try to track down a sample.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well and best wishes for 2013!
Heather
Hi Heather - definitely try to have a sniff of Navegar if you can. I hadn't heard of the Parfums de Nicolai but that looks very interesting - will have to see if I can make it to the boutique for a sniff.
DeleteHappy new year :)
Thanks for the heads up, Grace! ;) I got Navegar, The Pour Un Ete and some candles. Might go back for a sniff of Mimosa and perhaps pick up Seville... the sale prices are definitely tempting!
ReplyDeleteHi Stephanie - oh, nice picks. I'm very tempted to head back for The Pour....
