I like the formula of the Dior Addict lipsticks a lot; so much so that I put another colour on my christmas list and Mr London duly obliged. Stiletto is a sheer berry shade; noticeably brighter than Londres but in the same colour family (more cool than warm, with slight muting).
It gives me a bitten berry lip; it's quite bright on me but still natural looking and it doesn't shout 'Look at my LIPS.'
I like to wear this with NARS Mata Hari blush and NARS Tokyo eyeshadow duo; I like the combination of sheer berry lips/rosy cheeks and a pale lavender/taupe eye.
Swatched on white paper - Stiletto, Londres and the other Dior Addict I own, Diorkiss. Stiletto is noticeably more berry and Londres has more brown/muting. Diorkiss is a brighter, lighter, almost slightly coralled pink.

Despite my initial concerns that Londres was too dark I have bought it and love it. The formula is amazing (must be all the Vaseline!) I am lusting after Paparazzi in the Addict Extreme range, yet to try it properly though.
ReplyDeleteSmokey is another Dior colour that intrigues me. From looking at it in the bullet it may be too far in the dark red brown direction but possibly different on. Have you tried that one?

LOL, still vaseline-free (incidentally, I bought one of the Revlon Lip Butter things as they are only £5 at the moment - those really are mineral-oil heavy).
DeleteI have looked at Smoky and hand swatched, although I haven't tried it on my lips. It looks dark - far darker than Stiletto or Londres. It's duller like Londres (Stiletto and Diorkiss are both a bit brighter), and yes, a red-brown shade. I do find these give good colour, so they are not as sheer as something like Clinique Black Honey.

This is the only Dior lipstick formula I can wear and I can't wait to add to my collection. I love your swatch of Diorkiss so I'll check that one out.
