Ilia Beauty Ink Pot Lipstick. A deep violet purple shade, I've wanted this since Ilia posted a teaser picture of their Autumn collection on Twitter. I think it'll be lovely mixed with bright pink Neon Angel to give a deeper fuchsia shade too. Limited Edition.
Ilia Beauty are also releasing mascaras. I'll be buying the sooty black Nightfall, but ashy brown Shadow of a Doubt (pictured below) will be perfect for blondes or anyone looking for a very natural lash look.
I also like the look of all three items Kjaer Weis are releasing at the end of November, and I think they'll all work well together as a 'face'.
Abundance is described as a plum-taupe cream blush with iridescence. I'm hoping it might be a deeper version of the sort of colour and finish that RMS Beauty Muse Lip2Cheek gives me.
Romance is described as a vibrant reddish pink. It looks to be cooler and brighter than Passionate, which tends to look quite subtle and is more on the warm apricot side of soft red.
Pretty Purple is described as a rich, subtle purple that suits all eye colours.
These are available to pre-order on www.kjaerweis.com now. A reader, Laura, has let me know that these are now sold in the UK on www.naturisimo.com so I'll be checking there for the new colours. (Incidentally, going from the colours I own, the Naturisimo swatches are very good for accurate colour representation.)

Yesterday i saw that Kjaer Weis has launched at Naturisimo and am very happy about it! Am planning to order an eyeshadow (light, neutral shades)
These look great! I can't wait to try the mascara! So far most natural mascaras I tried don't compare to the mainstream ones, so I hope this one will be different. Laura

ReplyDeleteHi Ana - Ilia isn't too bad, but Kjaer Weis is super pricey in the metal packaging (it is refillable though!) Both brands do very nice light pink lipsticks - try In My Room or Blossom Lady from Ilia, or Bliss Full from Kjaer Weis.

ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear you talk Mascara - in particular the more natural/cleaner ones, or any you think perform well while not turning lashes into a dried out crunchy horror. I'm kinda tired of compromising on what I want in a mascara, and I'm looking for some good ideas to try out :D
Hello! Mascara is SO difficult. If it isn't crunchy it smears, or costs a million pounds (exaggeration, but you know what I mean!) I am hopeful for the Ilia, and will report back. I remember liking the 100% Pure Mascara too - I should repurchase that one too.

For those wanting a relativly clean/good performing mascara: i like the kiehls one. While it has some iffy ingredients, they are on the bottom. Higher up are natural waxes and oils. I found it to be an ok compromise til somerhing cleaner is launched.
