Today's post is a guest review from Claire, who has been trying out the Suti Rejuvenate Organic Face Oil for me.
A few weeks ago Grace asked me to undertake a guest review for her. As an avid blog follower (not all beauty related) I was most excited to get a chance to write my own review so here goes!
By way of background and to help give my comments some context I am in my early 40s with normal/dehydrated skin. I don’t suffer from breakouts provided I cleanse really well. My main skin problem is that I suffer from cold sores, as any sufferer will tell you they really are horrible things.
The product I am giving my thoughts on is the Rejuvenate Face Oil from Suti.
As soon as I opened the bottle I knew I was going to like this product. The oil comes in a solid glass bottle with a nifty glass dropper to facilitate accurate dispensing of the product (white lab coat optional!). Fragrance wise the oil is divine; the initial notes are Rose, Frankincense and Tangerine which fade to leave a pleasant earthy aroma. The active ingredients in the oil include rosehip oil which helps prevent wrinkles and helps with scarring (my saviour! see below), evening primrose oil which is good for smoothing and hydrating the skin and argan oil which is a powerful antioxidant and also revered for its anti aging properties. The recommended dosage is 2-3 drops massaged into the skin on face and neck after cleansing.
I have always been a bit of a fan of oils for both face and body, but find oil on my face twice a day is a bit too rich for my skin so in keeping with my established regime I applied the oil in the evening after cleansing and before my night cream. I also found myself using 4-5 drops per application; my skin really seems to drink it up without leaving a greasy residue.
The Suti Oil has been part of my skin care regime for about 4 weeks now and I think my skin is looking great. In this time I have had a particularly vicious cold sore outbreak and I think the oil has helped the residual red marks on my face disappear more quickly than normal which is a huge plus for me.
The oil is £28 for 30ml which I consider great value; I have been using the oil for about four weeks once a day and in this time I have used maybe an eighth of the bottle. I think this bottle would last about 6 months.
I would definitely purchase this product in the future.
Thanks to Claire for her thorough review.

fab! I got a sample of this one during one of naturissimo's deals. I'm gonna try it but I still have some Roques O'Neil oil that I'm liking a lot as well.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like it's definitely worth giving the Suti a whirl. I love an oil/serum for evening.
Delete:D :D :D
ReplyDeleteSo, I am a recent convert to this oil as well! I was lucky enough to get a generous sample to try and it's totally been a massive success - I've got the full bottle now.
Grace, I hope you won't mind me putting a slighty truncated version of my review here in the comments! It's just that not many people have heard of/tried this brand yet, and I'm still really excited about this oil.(My review is totally independent etc. etc.)
Review:
I use two drops of this oil after cleansing in the evening. It is a light oil which sinks in quickly, but spreads easily over damp skin. It leaves skin feeling adequately hydrated, but more importantly, revived and balanced. This is really not a thick, pore clogging, scary oil. My skin feels like it can breathe after using this oil, and it's not coated, or tacky.
My skin feels more supple, elastic, softer and smoother since introducing this oil into my routine. I'm also seeing a general improvement in the appearance of pores.
I have very reactive combination/dehydrated acne-prone sensitive skin.
Though my acne has never been severe, I usually have a few blemishes at any one time, and sometimes more major break-outs. As I've gotten older (I'll turn 30 this winter) I've been seeing more and more of the cumulative effects my largely hormonal acne has had on my skin - scarring, pigmentation/dark spots which can take months to fade, and uneven texture in particular. Add that to a bit of sun damage, pores looking more visible than they used to, and cheeks that are usually red/flushed/at least semi-irritated; and you can understand why I've been looking for something to soothe/calm my skin, reduce (or at least not aggravate!) current break-outs AND start healing some of this damage.
Since starting to use the Rejuvenate Face Oil in addition to the benefits I've already described above, the most break-out prone areas of my face (chin in particular!) have calmed down significantly. Significantly as in "people who are not just me are noticing". Significantly as in "wow, I feel so much more confident makeup-free" and "OMG why haven't I been using this for years?"
Granted, this oil isn't the only thing I'm using, but the other acne-fighters have existed in my routine for an extended period of time ... though I'm using them a lot less than I used to. I also take Works With Water ClearSkin supplements (active: lactoferrin) which has helped a lot with my acne in general (less spots, spots are smaller and less red).
The BEST THING about this oil is that it really has been IMPROVING my skin. Scars and red marks are fading a lot faster than they used to, and my skin texture is feeling noticeably improved. Seriously, I haven't even been using my retinol, because I'm getting better results with this, and zero irritation/flaking. Areas of my skin that almost always feel like they're about 10 seconds away from having a breakout are feeling more 'normal'. This has left me feeling a lot more hopeful about being able to reduce the damage to my skin.
I'm going to end up buying this myself, aren't I? :D
DeleteThank you so much for this. It's really helpful, and I'm glad it's working for you. x
Well, I do think you would love it! But I know you don't have as many problems with your skin, so I don't know if results would be as dramatic ...
DeleteBut my evening skincare routine has been feeling more like a healing and de-stressing ritual than a chore lately ;)
Thank you so much for the review Claire. I have this oil but haven't used it in a dedicated way yet. After reading both Claire and Proximity's comments, I think I better get on and it a proper try.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds brilliant - would love to know how you get on with it.
DeleteI'd also be really curious to hear what you think of this :)
DeleteShall we call it the magic and effectiveness of organic natural products :-)))??
ReplyDeleteGreat review!

I think we can :)
DeleteSounds interesting. I love my Pai oil and since it smells so divine, works for me and the price si very good I may not try any other oil (let's see how long that lasts :D).
ReplyDeleteSticking to skincare - it's a tough one! I have to say, I'm still using and loving the Live Native range myself.
DeleteEverything looks so tempting and with natural skincare improving every day..it is impossible :)
DeleteThank you for this review! I have been using rosehip oil for a few years (right now i am using Pai) and find it really good, however, i might give this one a try, it sounds great!
ReplyDeleteHi Clara - I really like the ingredients of this one, and I'm impressed by the feedback :)
DeleteI love my Ila-spa face oil so much, but now I am very excited to try this! I love that it fades marks without irritation. Thanks for the great review!
ReplyDeleteKristin
Hi Kristin - oh, that's another great one! Thanks for your comment.
DeleteLet me add my voice to the I-love-Suti-Oil chorus! I've been using the Rejuvenate Oil for a few months now and I like it a lot. I have very dry, sensitive skin, and this oil does not irritate my skin, which is no small matter! I don't find the oil quite as moisturizing as I prefer (my skin is very dry, most people probably won't have this problem!) so I only use it in the morning. At night I need something heavier. (I tried Suti's Nourish night oil, which was nicely moisturizing but I didn't care for the smell. Others have commented online that they like the scent, so it may just be me.)
ReplyDeleteCurrently I'm trying a sample of Live Native's beauty serum/face oil and have put Suti aside for the moment, but I'll definitely return to it for day when the sample is finished and will likely repurchase...someday, when the large bottle runs out. It's definitely one of the best oil serums I've used.
I am going to need to buy this, aren't I?
DeleteI'm really liking the Live Native - would be interested to know how you get on with it and if you find it a little richer than the Suti.
Interesting product it sounds great, i love face oils but have to be careful as a lot make me break out x
