Less is More is an organic hair care range stocked at Content Beauty in the UK. I've used and liked a shampoo and conditioner from the line in the past, so when I saw some products are now available in these 30ml travel sizes I decided to give the Flower Whip Styling Cream a go.
Flower Whip gives light hold and definition to normal to thick hair. It effectively combats frizz and helps to define waves and curls. It smells lightly citrussy, and is a lighter (and slightly less moisturising) texture than the Rahua Finishing Treatment. I do find it gives better curl definition than the Rahua, although I like both products. For hair that isn't particularly dry or damaged the Flower Whip is a less expensive option.
I'm going to buy the small size of the Mascobadogel with my next Content order to try cocktailing the two; I'm curious to know what bundled, shining locks look like! I think the gel combined with the cream will give a stronger hold and even more defined curls.
The 30ml size is £6.50, and the full 150ml size is £24. The smaller size is perfect for holidays, or just to see how your hair gets on before trying the full size. Available from www.beingcontent.com.

oh!this is the sort of thing i love!x
ReplyDeleteIt works really well as a curling cream too.
DeleteThis looks gorgeous! Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteI wish you could smell it too - it smells beautiful :)
DeleteI love that they do a small size - excellent for trying out products without breaking the bank ... and also good for people like me who really do have a 'less is more' philosophy when it comes to hair styling products. (AKA - 30ml would probably last me 6 months with regular use.)
ReplyDeleteI totally agree - small sizes are excellent. I use styling products very sparingly too.
DeleteI love the mascobadogel, a full-sized bottle lasts one and a half years with almost daily use. Their leave-in conditioner for colored hair is also very good. Luckily, my hair dresser uses the less is more range, so I can tests thinks before I commit to a full-sized product.
ReplyDeleteHello Moppe, and thank you! I will definitely put some of that in my next Being Content order. How great to have a hairdresser that uses this line too. Unfortunately most of them here still stick to the same silicone-heavy usual suspects.
DeleteIt's a very light conditioner with a lot of aloe vera in. My hairdresser said that he always wanted to switch to more natural products but never did, because they did not give professional results until he chanced upon less is more. Plus, they smell good!
ReplyDeletePS: argh, autocorrect is rubbish! :o)
They smell gorgeous :)
DeleteI love the flowerwhip. I've been using it for over a year. I like that it smoothes frizz and mousturises but in a lightweight way. Great for finer hair!! What sold me is that they use honey silk and sugar to give hair hold. I haven't seen any other natural range that does that. Most others just use oils and waxes but have no ingredients in there that give hold. I often use it before blowdrying, twirl up some section to dry set, and spray a bit of IN hairspray or less is more hairspray on top. I then shake the hair out and have Isabel marant style hair, naturally. Laura
ReplyDeleteHi Laura - you're right, the ingredients list is quite unusual in that way. I find very oil-heavy natural products can make my hair quite lank. Thanks for the great application tip!
