Black Milk Leggings - Galaxy Black

Yes, I'd fail at being a fashion blogger. My photo composition include half a hosepipe (disconnected!), a couple of footballs in the background and a shocking lack of Instagram, but anyway. Black Milk leggings are fabulous. Tali from The Gloss Goss retweeted a couple of Black Milk tweets, and has posted pictures wearing some on her Glossy's Wardrobe blog here: http://glosswardrobe.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/Black%20Milk. I'm about four inches shorter, a dozen years older and a good stone heavier, but I still really wanted those leggings.

I bought a pair of the Galaxy Black Leggings in medium - I'm a size 10 to 12 (I fit 10s, I feel more comfy in 12s) and they fit well. Shipping from Australia was fast even with standard shipping - I got them a week after I got the shipping notice. These are not inexpensive - it works out to about £50 with the current exchange rate (before shipping), but they are very high quality and are made in Australia. I love them and want more pairs - other Galaxies, The Great Wave and Starry Night are now on my birthday list.

The top is from Uniqlo, and the necklace is from Crazy Pig. The Black Milk website is at www.blackmilkclothing.com.

    1. Yes, the bloke is doing really well, it's a perfect storm of stretchy goodness :D

The clothes are made well and ethically, the prints are extremely cool and the CS is funny and friendly. I want all of the leggings :) I wore them for the first time yesterday and had someone in a supermarket asking me where I'd got them from because his daughter would love a pair.

  2. You look pretty damn cool to me <3

Though I kind of hate you for introducing me to yet another awesome thing. Clicking through I think the BM legging catalogue is my id, in wearable scrollable form. Sad that the mulled wine velvet ones are OOS :(

  5. I think this is a great look. I don't mean to depress you or anything but wait a few years until your daughter enters her teens - my daughter is 16, she is leaner and longer than I am by yards, I will happily put on a skinnyjeansandcheckedshirt combo only to find that my daughter has done the same and I just look like the fat older friend. I really really struggle with fashion partly it is a can't be arsed attitude and partly it is a rather spend my money on skin care attitude. Sorry rambling as per :)

    1. HI Jan - my biggest issue with fashion generally is that I'd rather be comfy :D These are comfy too.

    1. Hi Alice - they are a bit expensive - I justify it as they are made in Australia, rather than somewhere with a cheaper labour market. Love them though.

  9. They look fantastic on you. I am wise enough to know that I would require a pair featuring the entire universe, and probably beyond!, if my entire arse was to be accommodated!

  14. Hi Grace, I really want a pair of BM leggings but not sure about the sizing. How do you find size M? I really don't like leggings that dig in on the waist as it spoils the figure :( I am a size 12, can fit on 10 dress but defo not on 10s trousers. I don't want to get a large and for them to be loose, it's so difficult! Can anybody help? :) thank you sharkies xxxxx Amelia

    1. Hi Amelia - I definitely wouldn't get large - they'll be far too big by the sounds of it. I think medium will be fine for you. Have you checked your actual measurements against the sizing chart?

These end just below the belly button, so they avoid the muffin thing. I find the waistband quite comfy - they lie flat and do have some give, so even if they feel a bit snug at first they're comfy after a few minutes.

I'm a 10-12 and I could probably wear a small - the knees on the medium are a tiny bit loose on me, but I go for comfort ;)
