RGB Cosmetics Dove nail polish

Dove is a very pale pure grey shade, and is unusual while still being quite neutral. Sometimes it can look more green or blue depending on the relative coolness of the lighting, but in natural light it doesn't lean to either side. This picture is with two coats applied; Dove has very good coverage for a pastel shade.

RGB cosmetics are one of my favourite nail polish formulations - they are easy to apply, last well and I love the colours in the range. They cost £11.50, and I bought mine from www.misebeauty.com, the European stockists.

Do you like pastel nails, or do they look too tippex-ish to you? I like them a lot, especially for spring and summer.

  1. I like pastels, but not when they have too much white in the mix as hey can look a bit too stark. Pastels are hardest colours for me to find nail polish that I like. Other than that, I find them so beautiful for spring, so fresh. Now if only spring decided to return to the UK that would be great! Your nail polish though, with it being dove grey, is perfect for the spring we are having so far.

    1. Grey certainly matches the sky and the weather, although, touch wood, it is quite nice today!

  2. I do like a pastel pink sugared almondy nail - I feel with nail varnish I can at least give a nod to fashion colours without embracing a look head to toe, trouble is with teeny tiny nail plates I really do look as if I have been playing in the tipex, but I do like the paled grey/blue of this shade.

    1. Hi Jan - I do envy people with long, elegant nail beds. Mine are nearly square!

  3. I have thought about ordering an RGB polish but the swatches on beauty.com don't give me any idea of how pretty they can be. I'm glad when I can see them in action on your blog.
