Topshop Razzmatazz applied: shiny sparkly nails

Topshop make up is really very good indeed. I have to thank Kate at Drivel About Frivol for making me finally go and have a look at it because of this post. I bought the Crayon and a couple of other eye cosmetics (post on those later) but also fell for the nail polishes.

Razzmatazz is a sheer lilac jelly with silver and holographic glitter and hexagons. The hexagons are smaller than those in the Deborah Lippmann glitter polishes, like the Ruby Red Slippers that I own.

The picture is of one coat, applied over a single coat of lilac/grey cream Rainy Day (also from Topshop). The glitter polishes cost £6 and the cream £5. These nail polishes apply easily (the brush is flat and reasonably wide, but not so wide it is unwieldy) and dry quickly. Instant love. Maybe it's not quite as heartstoppingly beautiful as Lippmann Today Was A Fairytale, but it's a good alternative for anyone unwilling to pay £18 for the Lippmann.
I just decided to add a second coat of Razzmatazz - apologies for the phone picture, but it shows the added sparkle.

  2. oh my goodness I love this combination! Conversely I have to thank Naz at Mascaramagic for reintroducing me to TS -- I had mostly written them off (except for the cream blushes and polishes) after the launch.

    1. I have to thank you both, because I was a little like a child in a sweet shop! I've always just written off Topshop makeup - there was too much fuss when it first launched and then I never made an effort to go and have a look. I am very glad I did.

  3. That is a lovely pairing! I have never seen any Topshop makeup in the flesh. I've always been intrigued but I haven't been inside TS for years. I shall consider myself nudged.

    1. Even though I probably doubled the average age in Topshop when I went in to buy this it was totally worth it. I would definitely buy more colours.

  4. Now that I love! I'm very keen on glitter nails as they appeal to my slummy side being so long lasting. But, I do try and go for 'grown-up' glitter and this combination is very elegant and quite ethereal, even. My nail varnish collection is rapidly expanding...

    1. Hi Hannah - I know exactly what you mean ;) If you don't have any Topshop polishes they are well worth a look.

  6. Very pretty combination, I do quite like their nail polishes, I keep meaning to check if they contain Formaldehyde, Toluene, Camphor and Di Butyl Phthalate.
I bought one of the eye crayons yesterday after reading Kate's review comparing it to By Terry,so I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on it as well x
