OCC Anime & Katricia Lip Tars - alternative to Tom Ford Violet Fatale

If you like the look of Tom Ford's Violet Fatale lipstick but don't want to drop the £36 on one (or don't like the wheatgerm/gluten in the formula, or some of the dodgy names in the rest of the line) I have an alternative for you from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. I had the Anime and Katricia Lip Tars already, although I've never worn the Katricia out of the house. Anime is an almost neon bright pink, and Katricia is a slightly greyed purple. Mixed together (probably about 3 parts Anime to 1 Katricia here) they give this season's violet tinged fuchsia pink lip.

These cost about £9 each in the UK (I bought Anime from, and Katricia was a PR sample from www.cocktailcosmetics.co.uk, who have the Lip Tars on sale for £7.95 each at the moment) and you can adjust the mix to make it more or less purple depending on your mood and preference. It is less convenient than carrying a lipstick around, although with the Lip Tars the need for reapplication is minimal. Jenny from MyFunnyValentineBlog.com has a good idea for how to store and carry OCC Lip Tar custom mixes without spilling
Picture in context of the rest of my face. I'm just wearing concealer and brow pencil, and the Lip Tar mix.
Disclosure: Katricia was a PR sample, Anime was a purchase.
