My go-to girl for all things Rock Chick is Helen from www.just-nice-things.co.uk and she recommends The Great Frog for rock jewellery - scroll down this post on Pirates of the Caribbean nail polishes to see a picture of her Bones bracelet: The Great Frog on Just Nice Things.
I recently developed a hankering for a larger skull ring. I had a look in another rock jewellery shop in Covent Garden which has some very nice stuff last week, but was in London today and decided to have a look in The Great Frog shop. I dragged Mr and Miss London along, but as she'd just cost us an arm and a leg in a haircut she bore it with reasonable grace (and there are actual skulls and bones in the shop, which perked her up no end).
I went with the intention just to have a look and find out what ring size I would be, but I tried on the Medium Evil Skull Ring they had on display. As the lady staffing the shop said, 'Well Cinderella, that fits perfectly.' Fate. So I bought it. It's nicely weighty, but comfortable on the finger, and beautifully made.
The website is www.thegreatfroglondon.com. If you get the chance, I'd recommend visiting the shop; it's off the back of Liberty in London in Ganton Street. The lady in there today was very nice indeed; ridiculously cool, obviously, but friendly and approachable too.

Freaking love the great frog.. they will customise anything for you which I think is so nice of them!! They made me a pair of anchor earrings! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Tali - Oh, I love the sound of those! I can see it's going to be dangerous for me, finally knowing where the shop is...
ReplyDeleteI really like that, though no way could I get away with wearing it as my little boy would be too fascinated and wouldn't be happy till he prised it off me! They have some nice things on their site, saw a necklace that caught my eye but with a not so nice price of £450.00, I always seem to home in on the more expensive items! x
ReplyDeleteLOL Replica, it's a special talent! (and one I unfortunately share)
ReplyDeletegreat ring! i have been looking for a long time for a keith richards style ring, and this is great! i did not know about this brand (i'm from italy), i will look it up!
ReplyDeleteThat is great! Did you describe the shop as mystical? I'm not looking forward to this expensive haircut lark. I'm rather handy with the clippers.
ReplyDeleteHello Clara - it's very much that style of ring, and shop.
ReplyDeleteHi MB - LOL! No, it's a hippy-magic-free zone. I don't think your smallest will be happy with the clippers ;)
Oh gosh! I love this. I want the samurai ring!
