Tom Ford is launching a comprehensive beauty collection, including skincare, complexion, colour products and brushes. As well as two formulas of foundation (a liquid and a stick) and pressed powder, there are highlighting and sculpting products in the base collection. Two new Private Blend Collection Fragrances also launch at the same time; Jasmin Rouge and Santal Blush.
There are 10 Eye Color Quads (TF's american spelling, not mine) and there are a good selection of neutral combinations as well as some more colourful options. There are four textures of eyeshadow, sheer sparkle, shimmer, satin and matte, but no set format to the Quads: at least one appeared to be all matte/satin, and the others were varied combinations of the finishes. As you'd expect, the eyeshadows are well pigmented and creamy and swiped easily. I was instantly drawn to the taupe combination of Silvered Topaz (swatches are at the bottom of this post).

The Private Blend Lip Color range has become the Tom Ford Lip Color. There are now 18 colours in the line, although sadly some of the original 12 Private Blend Lip Colors didn't make the collection (including Pure Pink *sob*). However, there are more natural/neutral shades to choose from. This is a swatch of Casablanca lipstick, a natural rose shade. This colour bridges the gap between Pink Dusk and Moroccan Rouge in the current Private Blend line.
Swatch of Ravish Cheek Color and Silvered Topaz Eye Color Quad.
There are also eye pencils, a black gel eyeliner, a mascara, brow pencils, lip glosses and a clear lip lacquer in the colour cosmetics line. The whole range strikes a balance between being comprehensive, but still tightly edited.
Of course, it's going to be expensive. The quads are £62 (info from this post on BritishBeautyBlogger) and I doubt you'll get much change from £40 (if any) for the blush. However, the Le Metier De Beaute eyeshadow Kaleidoscopes were £60 too, so depending on the size of the Tom Ford Color Quads it might be a comparable price.
Some of the line will definitely be going on my Christmas list, and I plan to purchase the Silvered Topaz Quad when the line launches.

Gorgeous! Burnished Amber looks so beautiful, and the blue and purple and that copper quad look great as well. That's too bad about your Pure Pink - do you know how long will the white packaging lipstucks still be available? Thank you for your lovely photos! x
ReplyDeleteLucky you! The colours look gorgeous. I have my eye on the blush.
ReplyDeleteUgh, my wallet. Any news about a US release date? I'm hoping I'll be able to check out the line w hen I'm in New York this October!
ReplyDeleteI really want the Burnished Amber quad and one of the blushes... I have Pure Pink and love it - I'll be sad if there isn't a comparable pink in the new line!
SO curious about the base products though - I'm a sucker for new foundations.
So, this is, like, *totally* pretty, and will, you know, totally help you accentuate your accessibility.
ReplyDelete@get lippie You are a horrid meanie. I know he'd make me brush my hair and wear hurty shoes, but his makeup is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteJustine - sorry I don't know the US date - I think it's a month or so behind us, so in time for Christmas (start saving now!) The foundations look good - there seems to be a very good colour range.
Jamilla - you are going to LOVE these.
Hi Klara - I imagine it'll be while the stocks last, it'd be a shame to throw them out. Burnished Amber would be beautiful on you.
Grace and Tom, up a tree, kay eye, kay eye ...
ReplyDeleteThose eyes, that voice, Tom is a dreamboat. I totally get why you love him.
Who doesn't have a crush on Tom Ford!? (if they don't...why not!!)
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to see swatches of the taupe quad, it's a definite must for me. I also can't wait to see the new lip colours (and an in-between for Moroccan Rouge [a fav], excitement!).
xo

*Wipes away the drool* Beautiful. Me and the Tom Ford counter have a date. The quads and blushers looks amazing. I like the sound of the texture of both too.
ReplyDeleteAfter looking at shadows at Nordstrom yesterday, the color combinations in these TF quads look refreshingly original. The prices, however, may force me to work with the shadows I already own...
ReplyDeleteSilvered Topaz! Someone bring the smelling salts.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for showing the pictures and giving us your thoughts, I really think there is going to be a lot I want from this range, I was a bit surprised at the cost of the eyeshadow quads though, guess I shouldn't be as like you say its on par with Le Metier x
ReplyDeleteI think this has to be my most favourite post from you! I blame you totally for introducing me to the lispticks in the first place and the new shade you swatched looks perfect. I can't believe they haven't included Pure Pink though. Craziness. x
ReplyDeleteAnother expensive obsession - oh well! I can't wait. Thanks for the introduction.
ReplyDeleteThat Silvered Topaz swatches beautifully! If I saw it IRL, I'll probably get weak in the knees!
ReplyDeleteYou're so lucky, girl!!! I'm super excited for the launch of Tom Ford beauty line. And thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI am SO smitten with that silvered topaz quad - it's just stunning. Sadly I won't be able to afford it but will def go have a play! Thanks for the great review your pics and swatches are lovely.
