The Earth has done a full turn since I first started buying Haus of Gloi body products, and the Autumn/Halloween collection is once again live. I'm extremely happy to see a return of Samhain and Pumpkin Queen and I've bought full size Pumpkin Butters in both and a full size Bubbling Scrub in the Pumpkin Queen (the Samhain was stocked out in the scrub full size when I got to the website, although Britton has said that re-stocks will be happening in a couple of days).
I've also ordered samples of the new Pixie Sorcerer (in the Bubbling Scrub) and Haus Cider (in Pumpkin Butter) and the Queen Mother Perfume Oil, which sounds amazing - last year's Pumpkin Queen Perfume Oil, aged for a year, blended with patchouli, jasmine and vetiver, co-distilled with honeysuckle blossom.
The Halloween collection has been my favourite release, and you can read my reviews of the different scents I bought last year here: Samhain Pumpkin Butter review, Pumpkin Queen & Saft Ernte, Samhain Perfume Oil.

I just put in my first Haus of Gloi order yesterday! Pumpkin butter full size of Samhain, samples of Pumpkin Queen and Saft Ernte!
ReplyDelete(Technically I've ordered from them before as a gift for a friend, but it was from what was available last year in February.)
I'm super excited to get to try my pumpkin butters! It was too good to pass up since I'm going to be in the states for a week, just in time (hopefully) to get my order there and avoid international shipping!
La la la I am not listening to your deliciously evocative spell weaving descriptions of HoG...it is the Pumpkin that I am half remembering and I am not going to click on your link, well maybe, in a bit, when no one is looking. Thanks for this I think ;-) Jan x
ReplyDeleteHi there, i was so excited to see this post pop up on my screen this morning as i have put my order in yesterday too xx
ReplyDeleteI need to go and put an order in. It went live whilst me sister was here and I didn't fancy the mucky looks I knew I'd get if I indulged in online shopping during their visit! I need to re-stock Samhain at the very least.
ReplyDeleteI had a good browse around the Haus of Gloi products but they seemed a bit sweet and foody - i prefer a lot of wood, spices and incense. I was led to another brand (whilst reading some reviews) called "Solstice Scents". Have you ever tried any of their perfumes? "Conjure", "Jack & The Devil", "Dragon's Blood", "Manor" and "Harvest Moon" all appeal to me (despite the slightly food-type descriptions of a couple). They sound amazing but unfortunately postage seems complicated. What would you recommend from Haus of Gloi that won't smell fruity, flowery or overly foody? Thanks :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Annette - the autumn and winter scents from Haus of Gloi are my favourites - I tend to stock up on those because I like the same sort of scents as you - woody/spicy/incense. From the regular Haus of Gloi line up, I like Absinthe, Picaroon and Depravity (I hesitate over recommending that last one to you - you might find the coconut/wine in it a little sweet, but I mostly get the spice/amber).
DeleteAnother brand you might have a look at is Paintbox Soapworks on Etsy. I've reviewed quite a few of their bits, and there are plenty of scents there you might like - I'd recommend Dead Leaves on the Dirty Ground, Gold, Frankincense & Myrhh, The Englishman and This Charming Man. Her Autumn/Halloween scents are to die for too.
