Rouge Bunny Rouge Whim of Mine lipstick applied

Swatched, a slightly browned/muted medium pink. I'm not sure I'd call this a raspberry, which to me means a more bluish pink; this is more of a warm toasted pink shade to me.
Applied on my lips. The natural pale mauve of my lips mutes the colour somewhat. If you have less purple/more pigmented lips, you will most likely find the colour is quite a bit deeper and brighter. For me it makes quite a good natural lip; I could not wear RBR Irreverence, which is a rosy shade on many other people (on me, it was almost a nude, and too pale for my comfort zone).
Rouge Bunny Rouge products are available at zuneta.com.

  1. This looks very nice. I hope to pick up another RBR lipstick next year and would like to go for something a little darker. This looks like a good possibility for me. Thank you for sharing,

  3. Oh, you've done it now! You're totally my enabler, what did I tell you?

Thanks for doing the swatches of WOM again. Couldn't see the brown tones in your first lot. Glad I know its more a neutral base. I thought it would be a brighter (candy-like) pink but I like it and I'm off to purchase...

Especially with Vex's 15% off still valid! hahaha, surrounded by enablers.

    Luv you all!

  4. Hey Mercee - I think (hope!) I've gotten better at swatching over the last year or two.

It's not candy pink to my eye at all, definitely muted. Blame Vex, not me! ;)

  5. I love this lipstick, I am just wearing it today, and I bought it because of the swatches on your blog so yes, you are an enabler :)But I'm happy I got it - it's been my most worn lippie this year, so thank you!
I think it's a colour that would suit most skin tones and it just looks sort of polished.
Next on my wishlist is Word of Mouth (another WOM, haha), it looks more like a bright raspberry (I hope!).

  6. Hi Klara - I totally agree, it's a polished lip on me too. Thank you :) I'm quite interested in Word of Mouth too.

  7. Oooooh, I'm intrigued by Word of Mouth now too! Thanks Klara for pointing that one out.

Off to investigate. Maybe it'll make a good Spring lip?

  8. I think there are some brighter shades in the new Hourglass lipsticks too.

My absolute favourite bright pink is Tom Ford Pure Pink, although the new YSL Rouge Pur Couture 7 (Le Fuchsia) is a good substitute.

  9. Curses. Why am I discovering these older posts? I am adding this one to my order with Got Rid of the Man. Since I am new to the brand, I am making up for lost time. ;D
