Outfit of the day

Please excuse my husband's trousers drying on the radiator, he swore they were out of shot.

The dress is nice, and easy to just chuck on in a minute (Boden, this season, tea dress) but what I really love is the tights. These are Emerald 60 denier ribbed tights from Tabio (the light in this photo makes them look a bit bluer than they are, in real life they're a bit more green).  Emerald green tights make my day just a bit brighter and happier.

Tabio sell a range of brightly coloured tights and they're good quality (they wash well and the waistbands don't dig in). I take size large (I'm 5'7). The shop I go to is in Covent Garden, and I always wander out wondering how I managed to spend so much on tights and socks.

  1. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!

I love it when you do outfit posts. I think you look brilliant and I am chuffed to bit that you like Tabio tights too. They are my absolute favourites.

  2. Im a big fan of tights.. colored tights, knit tights.. although at my height i get major crotch baggage or tight waist bandage!

As long as they are opaque or fully sheer that is. I hate that streached out translucent look.. when you see skin through black. BLEAGH!

I really like those ones! Tabio has such cute socks too!

  3. Very nice! I wore a lot of brightly coloured tights when I was pregnant last year. I agree that they're great for cheering you up.

I like your shoes too. May I ask where they're from?

  7. You look gorgeous! I love the colour of those tights - wish I'd known about that shop when we were in London! Do they have an online presence?

  8. awww. Tights are very very popular here in Germany, the wilder the better! I have to admit to a fondness for the cream woolly variety too although I's never actually wear them (!)

  11. I saw this as I was Googling 'maternity tights' (which will not come in colours as nice as yours, guaranteed), so it has both made me smile and made me depressed.

  12. @Product Placement: lol I wonder if that's because I mentioned pregnancy in my comment?

As it goes, I bought coloured non-maternity tights from New Look and they were far move comfortable than the maternity ones I had from both M&S and Mothercare. Always worth a try!

  13. @Product Placement - so sorry. Maternity tights are weird, aren't they? It's all the gusset-y-ness. Let's blame Modesty Brown for your disappointment. Although it does sound like New Look might be worth a try.

@MB - the shoes are from Clark's, can you believe it? Really comfy too.

Hello OC - LOVE Tabio. The happy tights shop.

Hi Tali - I find plain sheer black tights unsettling too, how odd?

Hi Marina - thank you :)

Hello Amina - cream knitted ones sound lovely, although they'd be grubby in a second in my house.

    Conny! Thank you, m'dear ;)

Hi Selina - they do sell online, but as we discussed they don't ship to NZ. Date for your next London visit, okay? :)

Hi Joolz - I would be on trend in Germany then :) I mostly wear trousers myself, when I do wear skirts I expect my legs to cheer me up. :D

Hi Marcia, Lucia and Nina - Aww, you're all lovely! Thank you :) x
