These are the three products I reach for when I have no time to think or do anything complicated to my face in the morning (which is most mornings). I like them because they give my features a bit of definition and polish and they go with any lip colour (in most of my red/bright lipstick face of the days, I'm wearing these).
The products are (left to right, all from Rouge Bunny Rouge):
Solstice Halcyon eyeshadow
Lola kohl pencil
Delicata powder blush
I apply the kohl pencil along my lashline before I apply the eyeshadow, and then smudge the eyeshadow over it and onto my lid/up to my crease with my MAC 239 brush. This gives definition to my lashline without looking too structured (I prefer make up that doesn't look too done).

ReplyDeleteI also don't like my make up "too done", only for lips I require (almost)perfect application, but precise eye-liner makes the eyes look harsh to my opinion.
Hi Goya - I do use mascara and undereye concealer too. I've tried without mascara (it's meant to be the 'thing' this season) but I find my lashes look somewhat dusty after eyeshadow application if I don't apply mascara.

Thanks for the SpaceNK email. I printed it and went to the Bank branch and they were soooo excited about me and print off number on a scrap of paper.
I think I'm gonna have to get the Solstice with the next Zuneta order, because I do love my taupes. I think a very simple everyday face just looks so fresh: clean face, defined eyes and some color to the lip and cheeks and that's it. Oh, my favourite lippie has been the RBR Whim Of Mine, such a gorgeous neutral and polished color and I have you to thank that I bought it :)
ReplyDeleteAt the moment the only thing I can't do without is Shu Uemura seal brown eyebrow pencil - seriously! I have ummmed and ahhhed about buying this for yonks, as it is far less exciting than a lip product, or a new base/tm but I bit the bullet and bought recently and haven't looked back, I have a white eyebrow hairs in one patch (went white overnight) and with this I have a face. ReplyDeleteLaura Mercier brow pencil in blonde (even though I'm not) with concealer and lipstick on lips and as blusher if I'm really in a basic mood. Most days I find mascara too much of a faff to put on and take off! I didn't have any lashes for a few years due to a medical problem and now I have...well, they just don't concern me that much. When i do wear it I love Armani Eyes to Kill. That's it! I'm getting to the age now though where a bit of eyeshadow helps a lot. x x

ReplyDeleteI'm wearing, Rouge Bunny Rouge Delilah eye kohl, Stila Orchid convertible colour and RBR Irreverence lipstick. The Stila isn't my usual reach for blush, I usually grab EB After Sunset.
I love the products you have there, I keep looking at Delicata and wondering. I can't justify Lola because I have MAC Teddy eye kohl which I suspect is quite similar. Feel free to dispel that myth so I can get it! ;)
