I wish I had smaller feet - Marks & Spencer flower plimsolls

When I talked to Miss London about having to start shopping for her back to school stuff, I had a most unusual reaction:
"Oh yes Mummy! And I need plimsolls, and please can we get the flower plimsolls from Marks & Spencer, please Mummy, please?"
Plimsolls are usually not very pretty, but Marks & Spencer has seen a gap in the market for cute ones for little girls and jumped on it. These are Mary Jane style, with a flower on the side. I genuinely wish they came in larger than a size 4, because I'd wear these myself.

  1. I agree, I would wear them too. Am currently reduced to trainers all the time because of plantar faciitis, my feet have grown with each pregnancy, I have gone from a generous 5 to 7 and when I cross my legs, my foot blocks out the light, my sister damn her takes a size 2.

  3. Joolz - YOU MUST BUY THEM!

Hi MB and Lipstickmamma - don't they look both comfy and cute? (LM - my feet got wider when I was pregnant, but then went back afterwards, oddly.)

  4. They are much nicer than the ones I had to endure when I was at school! Schhol stuff seems to be a lot cuter and prettier these days!

  6. Hi Ms Wedgie - my school uniform was so ugly. Kids get a lot more dignity these days.

Hi Joey - I think they're a british thing. Primary school kids here have to have them - they take their outdoor shoes off when they go indoors and change into these, which are made of canvas with rubber soles.

  7. Am I being thick or do they only go up to a size 1 on M&S online?

  8. Hi Joolz - just had a look, it's a bit of a mess online, isn't it?

Right. I *think* that the sizes that are £6 are the larger sizes, so 1-4 are the largest sizes. 7-9 are smallest, then it goes to 10-13. So the 4 is the largest size. I paid £6 for Miss L's size 3s.
