Le Metier de Beaute Lip Creme gloss in Chocolate Creme

This was the other colour I was sent by the PR Officer for Le Metier de Beaute.

Swatch. A very pigmented, shimmery, coppery brown. Like the Creme Caramel shade, it has a sweet caramel scent.

Apologies for the messy application. If I was going to wear this properly I think a lipliner would be necessary as it does tend to wander a bit outside my lipline.

Full face. This works a lot better than the Le Metier Creme Caramel gloss did on me. It doesn't look too bad in this photo, but I don't feel comfortable in it; I found the Paul & Joe lipgloss in Antiquity I posted about here much easier to wear.
Summary: again, just not a colour or the right finish for me. If you like shimmery lipglosses and a sweet scent appeals to you, then the Le Metier Lip Creme line may be worth looking at.

Disclosure: product was provided without charge, for consideration for review.

  1. this colour looks like my Dr. Hauschka's 09, not at all chocolate. :)

  2. Gorgeous colour. I mix up my glosses and often seal lipsicks in with them. Not sure this would be a colour I'd buy, but might be worth a look. Im not sure where my nearet counter is though.

    Thanks

  3. For something called 'chocolate' it deffo has a bit too much of an orangy tone to it. Should have been called terry's choc orange or something!!
Its not the best color on you.. which is odd as you do seem to suit everything even that black lippie that i remember your Mr hating!!! x

  4. Hi Jojoba and Tali - I thought that too - too warm for chocolate! Thank you for your comments. (Tali - I don't like very warm lipstick shades on me either - prefer the cooler tones!) x

Hey Computergirl - it's only at Liberty at the moment. I've got to say, I don't love it myself. I like their sheerer lipglosses though, and the sheer lipsticks (which I've only tried at the counter so far.)

  5. Such a gorgeous colour - but, like yourself, I don't think i'd feel too comfortable wearing it out and about. I have a few things by Le Metier de Beaute which I absolutely love - after looking at this I think a lip gloss will be my next venture...

    Thanks for the great review!

  9. Hi Beauty Bite - I like their sheer glosses more, I have a GWP of one of those. The lipsticks are nice too, but I've really been impressed by the eyeshadows and blushes.

Hey Amina - I think they work best on deeper skintones.

Hi Loveskin - well thank you :)

Hi Em - it's the rms Beauty Lip2Cheek in Illusive. You're in the UK now? Content Beauty (which stocks these) is well worth a visit - it's between Oxford Street and Marylebone.
