I was in Covent Garden last week, and spotted than an Erno Laszlo boutique has opened up there. I remember seeing this brand in Dickens and Jones department store years ago and being very intrigued by the concept, but not being able to afford it at the time.
I'm interested in giving it a go now - I like the double cleansing concept, although the indomitable Mrs Hirons is threatening to give me a telling off for my love of this on her blog (she's doing a series where she'll take a look at a reader's skincare routine, and I've asked her to look at mine). The Erno Laszlo soap is meant to be excellent, and I'm quite interested in the R.E.M SPF 30 Intensive Day Therapy (I've nearly finished my current pot of Chantecaille spf 30).
There are also two treatment rooms at the boutique, where 60 minute facial treatments are complimentary with skincare purchases worth £150 (sounds like a lot, but not hard to drop on a few Erno Lazlo products).
The boutique also sells L'Artisan Parfumeur fragrances and candles.
Have you tried any Erno Laszlo products? I'd love your thoughts on the brand.

Hey there - I used to use EL when I was a teen. I didn't like it, and didn't see much improvement in my skin at all and I thought it expensive. But I was in my raging teens. They may have reformulated, brought out new stuff - so I will watch this space!
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of the sea mud soap and oil. And I feel so glamorous when I use it!
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to have a shop in London!
omg!! this was one of the only skin care lines available when i was a teenager. that and clinique were only available at department stores. wow! takes me back. amazing that it's still so popular 20+ years later!!
ReplyDeleteI got a blue firming soap as a gift with purchase, and found it a bit drying (even though I have oily skin and there is 75% humidity in New York right now). I still wanted to try the brand, so I bought a small Sea Mud Soap from a discount site. This works much better, and it always makes my morning a little brighter knowing that Madonna, Marilyn Monroe and JFK washed their faces with the same thing. Will purchase a full size from EL proper when I run out.
ReplyDeleteThis is one the most effective and least well known skincare brands. As long as you give it time - months not days or weeks - you will see a real difference. For reference I use the REM spf30 - its quite oily as will most sunscreens but keeps my skin moist all day and i just look damn healthy. Highly recommended.
ReplyDeleteHi - I am a great fan of EL and have used it for twenty-six yes 26 years. I used to buy it in Dublin where I lived, but when EL left Ireland I ordered it from Saks 5th Avenue from the same sales person who was originally trained by Mr. Lazlo himself. I am so glad I can now buy it in London as I now live in Paris and visit London quite often. I have tried different brands as it's not always convenient to order make-up from afar, but none treats my skin so well. My programme has been changed over the years and the desired effect is still there. My favourites are SHAKE-IT, MOISTURISER REM/SPF 30 and 3-9 EMULSION. I shall be visiting and replenishing stocks at the new boutique in Covent Garden when I am in London at the beginning of November.
ReplyDeleteI've been using EL for almost three years now, until they opened in London I used to beg friends around the world to buy the products for me. Sure it's expensive but the Sea Mud soap last for ages and the lotions are also in big enough bottles that you're not running out every month. I've always struggled with oily skin and EL products have been the only ones to finally get it under control. Unfortunately my skin had a bad reaction to the "shake-it" but the soap and the light controlling lotion have been a Godsend!
