Suqqu Spring 2010 Kisui descriptions of all items

I've had a couple of comments asking for descriptions of the other items in the collection, so I thought I would do a post on this to make it easier to find.

Noble Nuance eyeshadow (quad, £36)
EX01 Umegasane (purchased)
top left - warm sheer pink with tiny sparkles (like texture of top right colour in quad 08 from Kirari)
top right - warm rose/beige/brown shimmer
bottom left - matte dark/plain chocolate brown
bottom right - matte slightly pink toned beige

EX02 Sukashizumi
top left - beige with small sparkles
top right - cool toned taupe shimmer
bottom left - matte cool slightly charcoaled dark brown
bottom right - matte pale slightly lilac toned neutral (if you were disappointed in D'Gorgeous from NARS, you might consider this quad.)

EX03 Koukon
top left - warm gold brown with small sparkles
top right - neutral brown shimmer
bottom left - matte milk chocolate brown
bottom right - matte neutral cream

I could happily wear all three of the eyeshadow quads from this collection. If I had to categorise I'd say EX01 = neutral, EX02 = cool and EX03 = warm, but neither the warm nor the cool are extreme. I opted for EX01 first as I felt that EX02 is quite similar to quad 10 from Spring 2009, and EX03 is quite similar to quad 08 from Spring 2008, both of which I own. I thought EX01 might be somewhat similar to the quad from Christmas 2009 (blend EX06) but placed side by side I can see that blend EX06 is much cooler and all the shades in it have sparkle or shimmer.

Noble Nuance Cheeks (duo, £36)
EX01 Momozoe
Clear pink blush, paler pink highlight

EX02 Mukuge (purchased)
Rose blush, pale almost icy cool pink highlight

EX03 Natsumikan
Warm apricot blush, white peach highlight

I chose to purchase EX02 as EX01 looked similar to Blend Cheeks 03 to me, and EX03 looked similar to Blend Cheeks 02. I think that the Noble Nuance Cheeks are possibly slightly clearer tones, and more of a glaze of colour than the Blend Cheeks from Autumn 2007 that I compare them too. EX02 is somewhat similar to Blend Cheeks 05 from Autumn 08, but I found that EX02 was more pigmented, and although the colour is a glaze it gives more colour to my cheeks than Blend Cheeks 05 does (this is a very natural blush, even on my pale skin.)

Compared to NARS, Suqqu blushes are more subtle - I find it very easy to overcook with NARS blushes. However, the Suqqu blushes in this collection do give good colour, and also last well when applied. The texture is finer than NARS in my opinion, and there is no obvious glitter or shimmer in the Suqqu shades.

Noble Nuance Lipstick (£24)
EX01 Hiwada
Beige nude

EX02 Yamamomo
Slightly beiged pink nude

EX03 Shumomo (purchased)
Clear warm (very slightly coral) pink

EX04 Anzucha
Apricot

EX05 Sumecha
Rosy with brown undertones

Honestly, all of these are gorgeous and I was hard pressed to pick one to buy. I've been hinting madly at Mr London all weekend that I really would like EX02 or EX05. The texture is somewhere between Creamy Lips and Blend Lips - a comfortable, non-shimmery glaze of colour.

Noble Nuance Face Color Powder (£40, with brush)
A melange of pastel shades that subtly brighten and illuminate. There is no obvious shimmer, it just seems to brighten and lift my complexion. This would be particularly good for olive/sallow skintones, in my opinion.

Edit to add ingredients of Face Color Powder:
Mica, Talc, Calcium Carbonate, Silica, Ethylhexyl Stearate, Aluminium Distearate, C16-18 Hydroxyalkyl Hydroxydimerdilinoleyl Ether, Nylon-12, Dimethicone, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Copernica Cerifera (Carnuba) Wax, Methicone, Tocopherol, Sorbitan Isosterate, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Methylparaben, [may contain +/- Barium Sulfate (CI 77120), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Red 30 (CI 73360), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Ultramarines (CI 77007)]

  3. I think I may have to submit to Suqqu finally. If you still have the box for the Noble Nuance Face Colour Powder does it have salt or corn/rice starch in it at all ?
Thanks for the descriptions, really helpful x

  4. I've finally caved in and bought my first Suqqu products as a direct result of your reviews :-)

I got the eye quad in EX-02 Sukashizumi and the Noble nuance face powder. I'm not sure about web etiquette re links from comments, but as I've written about the influence of your blog in my post on the products, it seems polite to let you know!

Hi Replica - I've added the ingredients of the Face Color Powder to the post. It doesn't look like it contains those ingredients.

Hello Glamoured - thank you :) I really enjoyed reading your Suqqu post too.
