This is Nubar's take on the 'greige' (grey/beige) nails that seem to be so immensely popular at the moment (where Chanel leads, everyone seems to follow.)
Sandstone has been in the Nubar collection for a while though, because Helen featured it as her NOTD in May 2009. Sandstone is more grey than beige to my eye (although there is definitely some beige in there) with a subtle pink/lilac shimmer shot through it. I think this is a very flattering take on the current trend, and very work appropriate.
Picture is with three coats; this is quite sheer, but Nubar dries very quickly so it isn't a pain to apply three coats instead of just two. Nubar polishes cost £8, and are available from www.beautyshed.co.uk.
Disclosure: product was sent to me without charge, for consideration for review.

Hey! This seems very similar to Sephora by O.P.I's "Under my trench coat"...
ReplyDeleteI love this polish. It has less shimmer than Under My Trench Coat but it is still beautiful. In fact, your pics make me want to dig it out and wear it again.
ReplyDeleteHi Dreams That Glitter - I love the Nubar formula too, and it isn't horribly expensive either.
ReplyDeleteHi Lakshmi - I haven't seen that shade, will have to have a look, thanks :)
Hey Helen - it's a lovely shade, I'm really enjoying it :)
Oh lookie! I like that a lot. I have a couple of Nubar duochromes that I love, but haven't really looked into the rest of their range, thanks for the swatches. My purse (as always) hates you x
ReplyDeleteHi Lipglossiping - I love Nubar, they apply well, dry quickly and wear well. There are some lovely colours in the range too. Tell your purse I'm sorry ;)
