Le Metier de Beaute Baltic Blue nail polish

I don't completely hate this polish, but at £10 for 4ml I should bloody love it. Baltic Blue is a pale, cool, slightly greyed blue, and is part of the Le Metier de Beaute Spring 2010 collection. I bought it on a whim while I was purchasing the Hypnotique Kaleidoscope kit.

The application was difficult; the polish is quite thick and the brush is tiny, making for blotchiness in my clumsy hands. The pictures is of three coats applied, and you can still see the patchiness. It's a pretty colour, and it's wearing well (four days so far and minimal tip shrinkage), but I'll be passing on the Le Metier nail polishes in future and sticking to their facial cosmetics instead.

  1. It's a cute colour, but my god that's rediculously expensive! At that price it should be a miracle polish!

  2. Hi Grace:
I agree with you in the size of the brush of these polishes by LMdB...even the size, don't exactly know if that is a plus or a minus...
Did you tried the Jade color??? How is that?
    Thanks

  3. Hi Lillian - I completely agree. I won't be buying any more of the nail polishes at this size/price, and I should honestly be slapped upside the head for buying this one.

Hey Lucia - Get Jaded by Rococo instead (from their spring collection) or OPI Jade is the New Black. The OPI is closer to the colour of the Le Metier, Jaded by Rococo is close to the colour of Chanel Jade.

  4. They are the tiniest bottles and so hard to work with. Yet my MA tells me they fly out of the store. They aren't flying to my collection!

  6. What a shame the Baltic Sea isn't actually that colour! ;) Beautiful varnish, but I look rubbish in blue :(

  7. Hi Grace, I tested also a similar color of a nail polish I bought during my recent trip to London. I named it: my "snow manucure", actually the color is perfect for summer time!
