Pop Petrol looks darker on my nails than it does in the bottle, and rather less petrol-y than I expected, but it's still a gorgeous colour; a blackened cool green with subtle shimmer. I got full coverage in two coats, the brush made application straightforward and it dried in an acceptable time frame; not as quick as Nubar, but not as long as OPI.
Pop Petrol was from the Spring O My Rose collection, and was limited edition (and not released in the US.)

Looks gorgeous, I love this colour too, it's a perfect balance between blue and green tones - it's actually my first Lancome nail polish!
ReplyDeleteThere is a Butter London one that is similar to this that is also beautiful (although I haven't got the polish to hand for the name).

It's very pretty but i don't know if i would ever buy a high end nail polish because you can get so many pretty colours in cheap ranges.
ReplyDeleteI DIE! It's beautiful! TY for posting. I NEED this! Can you imagine how awesome it would look if it was the magnetic formula that gave star bursts? Humm I wonder if you can put some iron filings in the polish & hold it to a magnet! LOLOL
ReplyDeleteI've drooled over this before and I'm doing it again. Very pretty color.
ReplyDeleteI love these metallic dark petrol shades, I must try to find a drugstore version (yep, been shopping a little too much lately), it looks like it would be such a pretty alternative to a navy blue!!!

Hi Athena - I think I know the one you mean - Thames? It is a lovely colour.
ReplyDeleteHi Lillian - you can get lovely colours in cheaper lines, but I find with my poor dry (and older!) nails I'm willing to pay a bit more for formulations that baby them a bit ;)
Hi Elvira - isn't is nice? Star burst nail polish? Where have I been? I *need* that. Are you just teasing me? :D
Hey Marcia - odd that it wasn't released in the US. It is a lovely colour.
Hi Tina - you're right, it's a little bit different to the navies out there. I hope you find an alternative :)
