Addiction Spring 2010 purchases
These are my purchases from the Addiction by Ayako Spring 2010 collection (and yes, this is most of it. It was a small collection!)
Eyeshadows:
Eggplant - deep purple pearl, with little shimmer/sparkles in it, similar to Bagdad Cafe.
Limoncello - bright chartreuse, pearl, but no sparkles.
Blush:
Acid Pink - this is a warm pink with shimmer/sparkle. Texture is similar to the Crush blush I bought in December/January.
Lipstick:
Poupee - sheer cool pink. No shimmer, just sheer colour. Much cooler in tone than the blush from the collection; I will be interested to see how these work together.
Lipgloss:
Purple Rain - sheer non-shimmery purple gloss.
Swatches (left to right): Limoncello, Eggplant, Acid Pink, Poupee, Purple Rain.
I bought these products via the very helpful www.Mihokoshop.com. They aren't putting the collection on their website as it is limited edition and likely to sell out quite quickly, but I sent an email to enquire about the possibility of purchasing it on 22 February, the collection was launched on 25 February and I had it in my hands yesterday, 03 March.
I'll be trying these products out as a whole look at the weekend (it's a fun collection, but not very OL. It's an interesting direction for the line too, as most of the eyeshadows in the permanent line are neutrals, although interesting ones.) I'm very impressed with the pigmentation of Addiction eyeshadows generally, which don't seem to be as sheer as Japanese lines typically tend to be. The blush from this collection is also well-pigmented (I can't say whether Crush is or isn't, as it's a pale shade that blends with my skintone.) The lip products I have are sheer, but they are labelled as a sheer texture, and there are lipsticks in the line that give a fuller coverage. I'm interested in buying one of those next.
