5 minute face video with rms Beauty

rms beauty 5 minute face from Grace London on Vimeo.

Well, I've done a quick 5 minute face video. I'm not sure how helpful it is (it's not a particularly complicated look, so I'm not sure a video adds much that a photo couldn't), and I sound like Margot Leadbetter in it, but please let me know if you'd like more of these.

  1. I like the video style! It's interesting watching how you do things. I always do mascara first, and everyone else seems to do it last. This may be due to my inability to apply mascara without getting it all over my lids of course.

Really like the look of the eyeshadow and the lip & cheek tint. I'll check those out.

  3. That's so nice to see you 'in real motion picture' :) and I love your accent (I have a thing for the british accent I think, maybe because I can't copy it perfectly).

What's that pretty nailpolish you have on?

  6. I really enjoyed this. It's nice to hear you and see you animated etc and the face looked geat. The lip and cheek cream in particular looks like a great product and is very lovely on you.

    More please! :-)

  7. Outstanding! You're an absolute natural on camera. It was a nice surprise to see you moving and speaking on the screen after all this time of just photos on your blog! I really want that Shu Uemura eye pencil now...

  10. More please!

Always helpful to actually see everything going on, and to echo others - lovely to actually 'meet' you!

  11. You are a natural! Definitely Marisa Tomei and Kirstin Scott Thomas mixed in there! : D

I really like the look of that concealer - does it cake? Hve you tried Becca's duo concealer and if so how does it compare?

I think you wld be a welcome addition into the foray of video mu reviews/tuts bcos u cover unknown brands as well as natural day to day looks for the average woman! Not always smokey, highlightery faces - you know?I say do it!
    Thanks for this...

  14. That was so weird, seeing you 'animated'! great video, I'm so envious of your skin!! your voice makes me homesick for England and I learned something about modern eye makeup - It's all so much more relaxed than it used to be...

    Thanks - a real treat.

  15. Great video! I'm sending my RMS Beauty clients to watch how you work with it. I need to know - WHAT nail polish are you wearing? It's beautiful!

  16. Thank you all so much for all the kind comments.

The nailpolish is Nubar Sandstone; great colour for spring/summer.

(So nice to 'see' you again, Nina!)

  17. Hi Moodeve - the rms Beauty concealer is less dry than Becca, but I don't need to set it with powder. The formula seems to melt into the skin and doesn't sit on top of it so I don't get creasing with it. The coverage isn't as opaque as Becca, but I prefer the texture so I live with the trade-off. I'm not sure how it'd work on a very oily skin, but for normal/dry skins, it's lovely.

  18. I love the video! That concealer looks very "workable" and creamy.
Can I have a request? Would you perhaps do a tutorial on the look that is on your "about me" section of your blog? Because it looks stunning! :)

  21. Hi Grace, I have to leave my voice of praise with the other comments. Loved your video and while I have never thought about it before, you do look like Kristen Scott-Thomas. It was fun watching you "apply" the colours, rather than the still pictures. I love this rms beauty line since reading about it on your site. Must get hold of it! Your nails looked great as well - the colour looked very good on the video.

Hello Amaltee - thank you so much for your comment, that's really lovely feedback. I will have to give the luminizer a go myself :)
