Wei Beauty Lychee Mask and Tibetan Chrysanthemum - initial thoughts review

I was sent these products by the PR company for Wei Beauty to try, and over the weekend I gave them both a run out, performing a facial on my tired-looking-and-feeling skin.

The eye treatment pads are thin cotton circles soaked in the herbal infusion, which you place over the eyes and then leave on for 10-15 minutes. I found them immensely soothing on my puffy, gritty-feeling eyes. The skin around my eyes felt fresher, but I wouldn't say any miracles were performed on my dark circles. My only small gripe is that I'd prefer them to be 2 sets of semi-circles, so I can still do stuff while I'm wearing them; I find it impossible to keep my eyes closed for 15 minutes if I'm not asleep, but that's probably just me. I ended up cutting mine in half and putting one on each undereye and one on each lid so I could tilt my head back and still watch TV.

The thirst relief mask is a very thick cream that smells (not overpoweringly) of lychee. I love the feel of it on my skin, because it isn't greasy or oily-feeling in the way that many moisturising masks can be, it sank into my skin leaving a semi-matte feeling until I washed it off. My skin felt plump, fresh and pampered after removing the mask. It didn't cause any clogged pores on me either - I left it a couple of days before writing this review to be sure.

I like both of these products very much; the ingredients lists contain herbal infusions, and ingredients I know my skin does well with such as aloe vera, sunflower oil and hyaluronic acid (in the mask.) Neither of the products I tested contain parabens in the ingredients list, although the press release doesn't make a selling point of this so it's worth checking individual products if this is important to you. I am certainly intending to check out some more of the line when I'm next at a SpaceNK.

As I mentioned in my initial post here, the founder of the line is giving consultations at the Duke of York  SpaceNK today, and the Westbourne Grove SpaceNK tomorrow.

Please note: products were sent to me without charge, for consideration for review.

  1. This sounds so interesting. I like the theory of three the herbal complexes as you had explained in your earlier post. A mask smelling of lychee sounds divine!

  5. Hi Rebecca - this mask is worth checking out. SpaceNK has a new line of candles that has a Lychee scented one too - can't remember the name, but they are in frosted white pots. x
