Sample sachets of the Amala hydrating Jasmine range were included in a recent order from Content, and I'm very interested in exploring the line further.
I particularly like the Hydrating Cream Cleanser and HydratingYoghurt Mask samples. The cleanser removed all my make-up, including mascara. The yoghurt mask was guzzled up by my skin, and does not need to be removed; I massaged it in for very smooth and plump feeling skin. Both smell of fresh jasmine, a scent I love. I can't attest to any real benefits or results, as sachets do only contain enough product for a couple of uses. I might put the bigger sample kit (£33) in my next order though.
Has anyone tried this line? Any thoughts on it? My only concern is that the first ingredient of many of the products (including these two) seems to be alcohol, and although I'm sure it's organic happy hippy alcohol, I do still worry that it might rile up my skin. On the other hand, my skin does quite well with the Dr Alkaitis serum, which also contains plant alcohol as an ingredient.

Hi from Toronto, Amla looks very interesting and I had a look at their website. The ingredients looks very pure and it seems like a lot of expertise went into the line. The yogurt mask looked like it was full of wonderful ingredients, I don't know why it would have alcohol in it. Take care, Anna
ReplyDeleteHi Anna - yes, the ingredients look v good, apart from the alcohol! Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteTo be completely honest, I wouldn't use these products. I think there are quite a few wonderful skincare ranges out there that don't use alcohol in their products(and especially not as a first ingredient).
ReplyDeleteHi Klara - there are a lot of great lines that don't use alcohol, and I'm doing well with a mixture of Wei Beauty and Sarah Chapman at the moment. I should be sensible, you are right!
ReplyDeleteWell, I wouldn't want that beautiful skin of yours (yes, I'm jealous)to get ruined. And, now you have some extra beauty money left, soooo you can get that Easy Lover ;)
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteI live in London and was at the being content one week ago. I've got a facial treatment which was using Amala because I spoke to Imelda about the products she has and she recommends it. Also the Japanese lady I know she is excellent for the facial treatment. It was incredibly interesting and I bought Amala's eye cream because aroud my eyes had got lines and seemed like were shrinked. And just once I used the Amala hydrating eye treatment the lines had disappeared. I like this product also because they use fair trade.
