The deep reddish brown Rapture may look a little frightening in the pot, but it's beautifully wearable on the skin. I'm wearing it on my cheeks and lips here, and I love the creamy, but not overly glossy, non-shimmer finish, for a modern take on an 18th century flushed lips and cheek look.
Solar is quite a warm gold, and works well with Rapture for this look; it gives a subtle glossy gold eye. I'm not wearing any mascara, just some eyebrow pencil and RMS Beauty Un-Cover concealer in 11 under my eyes and around my nose.

You have really pretty features! Love the almost mono-chromatic look. I'm not the biggest fan of warm coppery eyes all the time, but I think you pulled it off perfectly!
ReplyDeletea great combo, i would never think to pair those colours together. my resolution this year is to start thinking more outside the box and stop trying to make my make up too 'matchy matchy' (I hate that phrase but it works!). I think it looks fresher and more modern like that.
ReplyDeletealso my resolution is to add some new brands to my make up arsenal, starting with rms i think! bit bored of the major fashion house brands at the moment, seem a bit samey.

Gosh. I'm a relatively new reader but I must say that this look takes about 10 years off you.
ReplyDeleteHi Lina - I'm leery of warm eyeshadows too, but this one is very pretty. Thanks for the kind comment too. x
ReplyDeleteHi Amina - RMS Beauty is an excellent brand; I can literally do a face in 5 minutes with 3 products. I know what you mean about the big fashion houses - I find the collections look very same-y too.
Hi GreatSheElephant - LOL, thank you, I think ;) I do know exactly what you mean though - less products and lighter textures give much more youthful result. Thank you for visiting my blog. Your comment really made me smile. :)
Oh my, that is very pretty. I have become a cream eyeshadow lover myself and will have to try this soon.
ReplyDeleteHi Olivia - thank you. I really like the looks you do with Julie Hewetts cream eyeshadows/liners (the Hues?) - I think it's quite a similar feeling.
