I was sent this palette by a friend who knows well my love of lesser known brands and a smoky eye. All of the cosmetics in the line include ingredients that can help to hydrate the skin, improving its appearance over time. I haven't used this for long enough to attest to the skincare component, but the shadows do feel comfortable on my dry skin, and the colours are lovely.
The colours are (from top left, clockwise) Lantern (matte beige), Ninja (black with silver sparkle), Sumi (true matte black) and Katana (silver sheen.) Swatches below are in the same order:

Kimiko Beauty products are currently only available at www.kimikobeauty.com (US based) and the bento boxes are $58 each. The sheer lip tint and plumper also looks like a very interesting product.

that's some expensive eye shadow palette! do you think it's worth it? it does look nice, nevertheless.
ReplyDeleteThe colours are lovely! I especially love that sparkly black!
ReplyDeleteThey'll look lovely carefully applied by your good self.
ReplyDeleteThey'll look like freaking Marilyn Manson on me. BAH.
Hi Jojoba - it is pricey - on a par with Chanel, but a much lesser known brand. It's hard for me to pass judgement on worth because it was a gift that I love and appreciate, but I would buy another one in another colourway though. I'm guessing the price is high because of the skincare ingredients.
ReplyDeleteHi Tackyblueeyeshadow - they are really pretty, and I love the names :)
Hello PP - It would be relatively easy to overcook this quad. ;)
Hello,
ReplyDeleteCute but bloomin expensive!
Lots of love,
Katie

I've never heard of this brand. It looks interesting but the packaging doesn't look expensive from what I can see.
ReplyDeleteI heard of this brand some months back and was quite captivated when I checked out the website. I can't remember now what it was that put me off - the heavy price tag or the shipping (can't recall if they shipped internationally).
ReplyDeleteGlad to read about this on your blog. The brand had always been on the back of my mind. This palette certainly has very lovely neutral colours - very handy! :)
Hi Katie - yes! Hello, and thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteHey Marcia. I think I vaguely remember a little bit of vine interest in this line when it started a couple of years ago - bet you a dollar Ammie has something from the line ;) I think we all agreed it did seem expensive and didn't look particularly luxurious in the packaging, but I think you're paying for the extra skincare ingredients.
Hi Witoxicity - International shipping costs can be a killer. The colours are lovely, but I think similar shades can be found closer to home.
