For Klara - Ellis Red and Beaute Masochist swatches



Here is a swatch of Ellis Red next to Beaute Masochist, as requested by a regular reader, lovely Klara. Top is Beaute Masochist, bottom is Ellis Red Creamy Lips L101. As you can see, they are extremely similar in both colour and texture; if you are in the UK and you are hankering after the Beaute, Ellis Red would be a very close alternative when the brand launches in Liberty on 01 February.

The Ellis Red is a touch darker and more sanguine to my eye; the Beaute has a touch more orange to it, but they are extremely close, and both very nice reds.

  7. I just ordered Ellis Red from beauty.com!
    This is the most I've ever paid for a lipstick in my lfe, but I figure that when a woman has pale skin, green eyes, almost black hair and full lips, it's almost her *duty* to wear the deepest red lipstick she can find!
    Or something ...
