Olay Regenerist 3 Point Treatment Cream

The PR for Olay offered to send this to me recently to try, and thinking that it was just an Olay 'super cream', I said yes, because I was interested to see how it compares to the SKII skincare I've tried in the past (also from the Proctor & Gamble stable.)

I was pleasantly surprised to find that this is something different, because it's a massage cream that specifically targets the eyes, jawline and neck, loaded with hyaluronic acid to plump the skin. If you're interested in the idea of the Suqqu Gankin but you don't want to pay the £60 for the massage cream, this is a pretty good alternative. I've only tried it once (it came today) but so far I'm quite impressed with how it feels during the massage. Where it's different from the Suqqu is that you don't have to wash it off afterwards; it's the last step in your skincare routine. I wouldn't personally ordinarily use it during the daytime because it has no spf in it.

I don't really have sagging issues, but my sister in law has already expressed an interest in this cream so I'm going to make her a sample up and ask her to test it out too. I'll report back on how we both like it; I would warn the scent-sensitive that the fragrance in this is quite strong to my nose, it's quite a typical fresh Japanese skincare kind of smell.

If you've left someone's present until the very last minute (shame on you!) Boots and Superdrug both have this cream on offer at the moment for £23-£24, and Boots have it in a red gift box set.

Disclaimer: this product was sent to me without charge for consideration for review.

  1. Interesting. I'm excited to see how you get on with this Grace. I don't have sagging issues myself, but I feel like my under eyes could do with a bit of firming up and I'm constantly on the look out for a cream that will do that. I've got one coming from Origins tomorrow, so I'll see how I get on with that. But I'm really interested to see how you and your sister in Law get on with this.

  2. Hi Jo - I do like the idea of the massage aspect of this too - I've seen really good results with the Suqqu just from massages at the counter so it'll be interesting to see how it compares. I'll report back most likely in a month or two. Thanks for your comment :)

  3. Sounds great - I had a bit of a reaction to in the past which has subsequently meant I am to scared to try any of their stuff, but I'll be interested to see how well this works for you!

  4. This sounds awesome!!
I like Olay, it;s the best of the affordable/accessible skincare brands around.
Halyuronic is the biggest thing in skincare and would've surely bagged this up had I not only recently invested in some Shiseido skincare for its halyuronic content.

  5. This is a really good cream for the over 40's--a great substitute for astronomically expensive face creams!

    Happy Christmas!

  6. I hope you both get on ok with this cream.

I bought this cream when it first came out... but it really doesn't suit my skin. I bought it as a standard moisturiser rather than a massage cream, but I wouldn't think it has enough "slip" for massaging. It dries too quickly (and isn't very moisturising either).

Also, I found that the cream "balls up" while I'm still applying it. Perhaps from the starch or nylon in the ingredients? So I end up spending ages trying to wipe off the weird dried up, dull, layer of it afterward.

I really like the smell, but I agree it's really strong!

I don't like the big, silver shimmer particles in the cream though - they're really indiscreet. I'm not sure why they bother with it, or why they don't use the nicer shimmer that they put in their Olay Complete Multi-Radiance cream.

    P.S. Merry Christmas!

  7. Hi Mizzworthy - I'll be sure to report back.

Hey Su-pah - they have some very good formulations. Hyaluronic Acid does seem to be one of the big things in skincare at the moment.

Hi Jamilla - I'm guilty of buying into some of those very expensive creams, so it'll be interesting to see how this stands up.

Hello Beauty Scribbler - I didn't notice shimmer particles, but I'll be sure to look out for them now. This is one of my big bugbears in face creams/serums - I don't think it makes the skin look radiant, just sparkly! Thanks for your comments, I'll be sure to report back on how it works for me/my SIL.
