This really does look like a vial of blood, and has a very similar colour when applied. Fortunately, it has a much more pleasant light rose/orchid smell, and it blends beautifully on the cheeks and lips. The liqui-gels are the next generation of stains; they give the same natural look as a liquid tint, but the slightly thicker texture makes them easier to work with and blend; you can dot both cheeks and then blend without ending up with an Aunt Sally circle on your second cheek.
Below is a picture of a dot of stain blended out - you can see it is very forgiving and really not scary, even on my pale skin. I use a small dot on my cheeks, blend, leave a minute and then add more if I need more colour.
I've worn this on lips and cheeks, and find it works well on both; it lasts all day on cheeks, and while it doesn't last quite that long on lips it does hold up for a good four or so hours before fading prettily.
I was also sent the Fluoron Liqui-Gel Stain (the Beaute I have pictured recently have been part of exchanges with US and Canadian friends) and will post on that after I've had a chance to wear it; in the tube it's almost neon apricot pink, but swatched on the skin it morphs into a warm pink.
