Z Palettes - most useful palette ever?

I really think these might be the most useful palettes ever; I was sent mine by a US friend. It's magnetised, so it holds any metal pan securely, and it has no dividers so you can put in pans of varying shapes and sizes. This one has a mixture of MAC, Trish McEvoy and starsmakeuphaven pans in it, and still plenty of space left in it. There is also a smaller size that's perfect for holding a few products to sling in a make up bag.

The website is here - I'm not sure if they ship internationally, but if they don't lets hope they start soon!

  1. It is very handy. I got hold of one at IMATS LA. They come in 2 different sizes. Very very useful for travelling. I'm not sure about the shipping though. They gave me a leaflet which I will not plough and let you know.

  2. I have one of those not the exact same one, but something similar), it's mirrored on the inside too so great for travel. I bought it from the IMATS in January.

  6. I love the Z Palettes! The new colors pink and zebra are great and much prettier in person. BTW, UK and Europe can get them here: www.promakeupstore.com (again not affiliated in anyway.)

  7. Hi Grace - Those palettes look fantastic - I'm very tempted to buy one (or two).

I wondered what your thoughts were on the Trish McEvoy eyeshadows and (if you've tried them) eye definers. There seem to be some mixed reviews regarding pigment and blendability and I'd be interested in your thoughts?

    Thanks, Bonnie

  9. They look great! Do you think they're as sturdy as the MAC ones (like do you think the clear bit would break easily when traveling?

  10. Hi ladies - they're such a genius idea, and really well made too. Thanks so much for all your comments. x

@Miss Ali - they're very sturdy - the plastic isn't flimsy at all. I think these are designed to be chucked in a makeup artist's kit, so they have to stand up to some rough and tumble for that.

@Bonnie - I like the eyeshadows - the colours aren't the most eye-catching, but they are all pretty, flattering and wearable. I've read that the solid colour definers have better pigment than the sparkly ones - and that has certainly been my experience with the two Amethyst definers I have - the non shimmery one gives a stronger line than the shimmer one.

  13. Hi Witoxicity - it's so simple you wonder how no-one thought of it before - I guess most of the best ideas are like that.

  14. i saw these on Pursebuzz. Am DYING to get a few!!! Pans glued into cd cases really don't stand up to the wear and tear like I need them to!!! x

  15. Hi Rebecca - they're such a good idea. Glue and CDs is a bit of a pain for swapping shades out too :)
