Okay, imagine that Bella didn't forgive Edward after he did that douchey thing in book two. Imagine instead she thought, "Hey, I'll shack up with Jacob instead. He's hot too, he's not creepy and he's way more fun."
....and that is why True Blood/Sookie Stackhouse is better than Twilight.
(Dear Twi-hards, I love Twilight. Honestly. I've read all the books, even the last one, and I made Mr London watch the film (you can read his haiku on it here.) I'm just Team Jacob, is all.)

Ah Grace - I'm still Team Edward ;-)
ReplyDeleteI do love the Sookie books too.
Have you watched Vampire Diaries?
Oh Michelle, I'll forgive that lapse in your otherwise impeccable taste ;)
ReplyDeleteI've not watched the Vampire Diaries - not sure we've got that here yet. I must look out for it, thanks!
True Blood is much much better. Is your Mr London that same as the infamous 'Mr London Street'?
ReplyDeleteHi Miss*H - no, that's not my Mr London, although, slightly oddly, they do look a bit similar. Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteHATE twilight.. Love True Blood. Am a total fangbanger type who really wants a vampire boyfriend lol! :P
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of Team Neither - possibly because I find Bella rather unlikeable. Whinge, whinge...moan moan.
ReplyDeleteBut I loved the books. Weird eh?
Michelle will tell you I am kind of obsessed with the weird nose shape of the actor playing Jacob. You'll hate me for pointing that out.
Oh yeah and we're saving True Blood on Sky+ to watch the lot at Xmas. No spoilers pls!
ReplyDeleteHi Tali - I do like both, but True Blood the series is more *cough* entertaining ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Helen (no spoilers, promise) - Robert Pattinson's nose is *much* weirder! He has a strange squished Barbie doll face.
I prefer Jacob as well but I love True Blood give me Eric and I will be happy forever!
ReplyDeleteHi QueenPenelope86 - oh yes, Eric. My favourite too :)
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I tend to stay away from Twilight. Which is pretty damn hard. The twinkle in the sun thing puts me off but I have seen the movie. Will probably see the second due to Michael Sheen.
ReplyDeleteI am a MAJOR Buffy and Angel fan so they will always be my main Vamp love but I'm very keen on True Blood.
I love the creative swearing which can only be pulled off in that accent. Lafayette is one of my favourite character, loving his make up too!

Fine fine. :-)
ReplyDelete@Helen - I am fixated on Jacob's nose since we tweeted. LOL.
I must agree that Eric is quite striking as Viking vampire -- love him even more after reading the books...
The brothers Salvatore in Vampire Diaries are also a treat so definitely watch out for it in your areas ... I'm particularly keen on Damon -- evil but hot!
True Blood is the only vampire show the Husband will watch for some reason. ;-)
I have a lot of opinions about vampire books and shows clearly.
*goes off to put on some new lipgloss*
Michelle
I disliked Twilight, but warmed up to it with the introduction of the Voluri who seem like a good bunch of cool cats. Waaay more interesting than Bella and her issues. Anyway. I like the last book the best, but I love the Sookie Stackhouse books.

Even though I like Edward, I would probably go for Jacob, because in reality I think Edward would annoy me after a while with his overprotective nature. I love Twilight but agree that True Blood is better (love their Southern accents).
ReplyDeleteAlso loving The Vampire Diaries - especially the Salvatore brothers - mostly Stephen as he is more like a cooler Edward (talks more too), although Damon is growing on me.
Generally I will watch most Vamp dramas as I was really into Buffy and Angel and like the supernatural genre.
Also did any one ever catch the British drama Hex that was on years ago?
- Athena
Hi Monica - I do like both series, but I definitely like Sookie better than Bella.
ReplyDeleteHi Athena - I remember Hex! I loved Jemima Rooper's character.
Hi Eliza - Lafayette is fantastic; love his character. Yes, the sparkly thing is quite..un-butch!
