The Suqqu Holiday 2009 collection, Yukihana, is released in the UK today. There are events from today until 14 November (London only) and from 26 November to 29 November.
I won't be buying either of the coffrets this year, but only because I have both the lip and eye set from last year, which look quite similar to this year's offerings. Pictured are the Blend Eye EX01 Hoshikage from last year (which came with a mini mascara with sparkle in it) and the Gloss and Lip Colour Palette EX01 Hanaboshi (which came with a mini loose powder natural), and the flyer for the Holiday 2009 collection.
This year, the eye quad comes with an Eye Lucent (last released in LE colours with Spring 2008 Kirari collection; this one appears to be a slightly pink opalescent shade) and the lip quad comes with a nail polish (Suqqu nail polishes, like the rest of the line, are extremely good quality. This appears to be a mother of pearl type of shade, with some pink opalescence, from the look of the flyer.)
I can't remember exactly how much last year's coffrets were; I think the eye coffret was about £55 and the lip one £45. This is a very good way to try Suqqu if you are interested in the brand, and I've always enjoyed the events very much.

I wish I could get it in Canada...
ReplyDeleteI went to the last event, and I enjoyed it a lot. I'm going to be away till 25 November, so I will see if I can do it on the 29th!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is fab! I'm going to be in London between 24th and 28th November, lucky me! I was going to check out the Suqqu counter anyway, but this is even more exciting! My bank account is not going to be happy....xx
ReplyDeleteI'm not in London and I'm not in Birmingham. Bah. :( Good for the pocket though. :D
ReplyDeleteTomorrow...tomorrow the eye coffret is MINE!!! (not that I'm getting over-excited or anything you understand...)

Hi Cocamia - it's a shame it's not in the US/Canada. You do have Lise Watier though :)
ReplyDeleteHello Jamilla - I've really enjoyed the events too, especially when they have the makeup artists over from Japan.
Hi Anna - the coffrets are a fabulous way to try the brand out. x
Hi Music - oh, that's a shame - although they do mail order ;)
