The smell of Autumn - Diptyque Feu De Bois candle
This candle smells of bonfires. There's a woody, slightly incense-y undertone to it as well; it reminds me a lot of Chene by Serge Lutens, which is possibly my favourite smell on Mr London ever.
I love Diptyque candles; they are expensive at £35, but one candle will last us a whole season used about once or twice a week for a couple of hours a time, and they burn cleanly with a true scent throw. It is important to remember to trim the wick after each use to prevent too much smoke.
My other favourite for winter is Pomander, a blend of orange and clove that smells of Christmas.

The Christmas one sounds lovely.

Funnily I have that Pomander one bookmarked on the liberty webpage, just been waiting for something else to buy with it ! I've not tried their candles before but am always hearing good things about them
ReplyDeleteHi Loveaudrey - it's beautiful. We light it as we're putting the tree up - instant holiday mood!
ReplyDeleteHi Replica - they're lovely candles. I am sure you'll find something else to pop in an order ;)
I'm a john galliano girl for winter, and freesia, violette or baies in summer. Oh in fact, I love them all - what am I saying. It's a luxury worth spending money on, you're right - they really do last.
ReplyDeleteHi Ondine - I love Freesia too. I've never tried the John Galliano one, but I do keep meaning to. The Mimosa one is lovely for summer too - I think I agree with you - they are all lovely!
