This picture is slightly sharper/in better focus than the one in my NARS post earlier today.
I've changed my lipstick; this is Lipink in Rose, with two layers of the Rose topped with a layer of Clear (I found that three layers of Rose gave a slightly too dark look for me; two layers gives me the colour I wanted.) We're having Nachos for dinner tonight, so I thought I'd see how the Lipink fares against that.

Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThat lipink looks amazing as well, very flattering. Love your blog, btw!
Hi Klara - thanks so much for the kind comments. x
ReplyDeleteI love the way you have blended the eye colours :) Emma (p.s. thanks for following me!)
ReplyDeleteOh I love the look! hmmm maybe Julie Hewett's Rue Burgundy would go well with that.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely love it! gorgeous look!
ReplyDeletei have this duo too and am blogging about it as i'm typing this comment.
That looks beautiful! But I didn't like your Tweet last night about Windows Phone - just got one last week from Orange and I love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Emma - thanks. I'm enjoying catching up on your blog :)
ReplyDeleteHi Olivia - I think that would work really well. I'm trying to find a way of getting the blue shimmer in the purple shade to show up, it's a shame it disappears when I apply it.
Hi Su-pah - yes, I read your blog too; you bought some lovely stuff. This is a really good collection.
Hey Martha - LOL, apologies, but I'm an Apple fan. Also we have Windows at work and it's nothing but trouble, so quite possibly I'm unfairly biased ;)
I really like the way you have blended the shadows - the lip shade seems to be the perfect complement!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog!!
aha, i am planning on wearing a similar smoky eye to a wedding next week and had been wondering what lip to pair it with - my dress is gold so i thought a brown lip might be a step to far - the pink, neutral lip looks fab with the eye so i might give that a go x
ReplyDeleteoh I didn't think I wanted eurydice until I saw this. oh no! it looks really good on you, perfect application and blending!
ReplyDeleteIf you want to get the blue shimmer to stand out, than maybe you should try using a black base (simething like a cream shadow or gel liner) under the eyeshadow. I know it probably sounds too much, but sometimes it works!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I have decided now that I need the shadows in my life.
ReplyDeleteHow were the Nachos? ;-)
Hi Anonymous - thank you :)
ReplyDeleteHello Amina - the pink works well with it, and Gothika was pretty good too (that's a sheer berry.)
Hi Em - thank you so much. I always admire your blending skills, so that means a lot to me.
Hey Klara - I'm wearing it over a light wash of a grey cream base, I will try it over MAC greasepaint stick next, thanks for the suggestion! I am determined to get that blue shimmer to show.
Hi Michelle - Nachos were lovely, thank you. :)
Hope you find a way to make the blue shimmer stand out. I think that quite a few darker eyeshadows have a problem in that in the pan they have this amazing shimmer, but on the eyelid it kinda gets lost (ahem, talking to you MAC Beauty Marked!)
ReplyDeleteBtw. just wanted to order a blush on the NARS EU website and the shipping is 20€(!) for a 29€ blush. I think that is way too much-
I guess the solution to this problem is to simply order more priducts so the 20€ wouldn't seem that huge in comparison to the amount of all products (or maybe I should stick with ordering NARS via HQHair, who have much more affordable shipping rates).
Hi Klara - oh, that shipping cost is just silly. HQHair often have good codes too; I'd get the NARS from there. The only thing that makes me wary of HQHair is I've been frustrated in the past when they've taken an order for an item that was OOS, and then taken an age to send it to me, but I know that it's a very popular site.
ReplyDeleteYes, HQHair often has great promotions (discounts, free GWPs...) and their shipping is usually very fast. But I found out that probably the online perfume boutiques have one of the best customer services, like OJ, FM, Divine, Amouage...
ReplyDeleteOh, Ormonde Jayne is gorgeous - I've been lucky enough to meet Linda Pilkington in the Royal Arcade shop, and she's lovely. I love her fragrances.
ReplyDeleteSo edgy and well-blended. I like the new lip.
