I bought one of these in a Pixiwoo-induced hysteria, and I've never used it. As I have more eyeshadow than a rational person could use in a lifetime, I'm putting it up for adoption.
I'll send it worldwide, so if you're interested, just post a comment below, answering the following question:
What lines do you wish were available where you are? For me, it's a throw-up between Vapour Organic, Kevyn Aucoin, Beaute and Edward Bess.
You don't have to be a follower etc to enter. I'll draw a winner at random on November 17.
ooh i have this palette (I won it from a giveaway too funnily enough!) so I'm not entering, I just wanted to also say I wish we had edward bess here too! :( not fair!
ReplyDeleteWell I have this palette already (blaming Pixiwoo as well) so I am not entering.
ReplyDeleteI am happy there are a lot of things I can order online these days, although it's hit and miss when you can't see the products in real life, because there are so many great brands we don't have in Belgium: Nars, Urban Decay, Benefit, Too Faced, Bobby Brown, Laura Mercier, Shu Uemura... the list goes on and on. Actually, outside of the obvious the drugstore stuff and the French high-end like Lancome, Dior etc, we don't have much choice!
Hi Grace
ReplyDeleteI have never even seen a Sleek palette...and I live in London (obviously under a rock!). Well, Ed. Bess would be my first choice as well, but I would love to see Jill Stewart in person, as well as a host of other Japanese lines, especially Lunasol.
On a different note, are you attending any of the Suqqu Holaiday 09 makeover events at Selfridge's? I already made an appointment for Friday hehehe... Finally, I meant to ask you if you intend to post about the Clinique Even Better moisturiser you mentioned you were test-driving some time ago. That would interest me very much.
Have a great day!
Nina
shotgun!!!!!!!!!!!! :D bet that rule doesnt apply here, does it :P
ReplyDeletei currently live in the middle of nowhere (no public transport) in germany and i just found my holy grail foundation colorstay by revlon, but revlon is not available in germany anymore (their distributor or something went bancrupt?!) so obviously i'd love to see that one back again!! but i wouldnt mind yaby cosmetics or StarsMakeupHaven because i love e/s and they are just as good as MAC e/s but sooo much cheaper!!

Hi Nina
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to the Suqqu event - work got in the way of makeup, unfortunately. The Eye coffret looks gorgeous again, but it's quite similar to the one from last Christmas, which I have.
I will post about the Even Better soon - v impressed with that, although still not a fan of the basic 3-step.
Thanks for the comment. x

I would say the one brand which I'd like to see a lot more of in the UK is NYX and the L'oreal HIP lines. I know you can buy NYX in certain places but both that and HIP would sell like hot cakes if they were sold in Boots and/or Superdrug.
ReplyDeleteAnother "item" we need is Sephora. We had it for a bit then it died a really quiet death.
Oh my - if I were to list all the brands I wish were available here in New Zealand I'd be here for hours! Admittedly some of these can be found here, not very easily though and their ranges tend to be sadly limited! Laura Mercier, Inglot, Bourjois, Too Faced, Urban Decay, Stila, Benefit, Illamasqua, Jo Malone ... I am sadly deprived people, sadly deprived!
ReplyDeleteHooray, I'm glad I'm not the only girl who lives in London and can't find Sleek ANYWHERE! Where did you find it? I'm there.
ReplyDeleteAs for beauty brands we definitely don't have here in the big smoke, I'd love the full range of Sonia Kashuk brushes. They've just got some at Space NK, but I wanted the range they did at Target, especially the silver travel set. It was inspired by coral reefs and the handles were so beautiful.
Target seems to get all the good stuff, it's not fair!
Oh, I've been wanting one of these Sleek palettes for quite a while now, so yes, please count me in. As far as I know, we don't have Sleek here.
ReplyDeleteThe one thing that immediately springs to mind is the Loreal HIP line. It's so frustrating when I see ladies on Youtube raving about and using the HIP duos in their makeup tutorials and here I am in the Netherlands with no access to those superHIP eyeshadows. Sigh!! Why, Loreal, why??
I've been following your blog for sometime now and when I saw this post, I knew I had to leave a comment. Being in Asia, particularly the Philippines, brings a lot of disadvantages. For one, a lot of the makeup brands that I like aren't readily available in the country. Take for example Benefit, Urban Decay, Too Faced, Korres, Boscia, and many others. I wish we had these brands (and more) here in the Philippines so I wouldn't have to order through an online seller who jacks up the prices of the products which she sells. I wish we had Sleek here as well. I've read a lot about it and have seen endless swatches of these beautiful eyeshadows. I'd do anything to get my hands on one of these palettes.
ReplyDeleteI love to see more L'Oreal HIP pigments (as we only have the HIP Duo shadows), more US drugstore brands (Milani, NYX, LA Colors), etc.
ReplyDeleteSuqqu and RMK!
ReplyDeleteI wish Storm and Barry M were available here in the US. Id read blogs and see pictures of how pretty their products are and all I could do is wish. Where I live, we also dont get a wide variety of Asian products. What we do get is priced so horribly expensive that I cant make myself buy them.
ReplyDeleteIm seriously considering doing swaps in exchange for stuff I cant find here ... :-)

Hey,
ReplyDeleteThese aren't in my local superdrug. Boo! Maybe it's not a brand but I wish we had Sephora in the UK- I really want OPI and China Glaze polishes and Kat Von D's eye shadow palettes (especially Ludwig). I also want to check out NYX but I hear it could be over very soon!
Thanks for your generous post.
Emma :)
I would like to see Barry M and Illamasqua in Canada!
ReplyDeleteI've never even heard of Pixiwoo! That is a pretty palette. I would love to have Lise Watier and Rouge Bunny Rouge. Not cosmetics but fragrance - Ormonde Jayne. Kanebo T'estimo and any other Asian brands that I don't even know about.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see Jill Stuart & Illamasqua for the higher-end brands, and SLEEK, Barry M, and KATE/Kanebo for the lower end/drug store brands. :)
ReplyDeleteBarry M to come to Canada!!! Thanks for introducing me...
ReplyDeleteI live in a small town, so I would LOVE for a MAC to be close by - the nearest one is 3 hours away!
ReplyDeleteI live in a tiny rural village in Hampshire, UK and I really wish I could get hold of wet & wild and kanebo.
ReplyDeleteYou're joking right?? Were shall I start?? Kevyn Aucoin and Edward Bess, yes, but also all the Japanese lines (Suqqu, Lunasol, Jill Stuart et al.), Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown and obviously NARS, also a bit of Urban Decay and Barry M wouldn't go amiss. Oh and Essie and OPI and China Glaze (you can get some in beauty salons but it's not easy). And I was forgetting Ellis Faas & a hundred others! xx
ReplyDeleteWell, for me it's NARS, NARS and NARS, there is no NARS in my town! But then again, Greece has so much limited makeup options, unlike you lucky ppl in the UK! :)

Enter me please :)
ReplyDeleteI wold like Jill Stuart makeup to be available here cuz the packaging is so gorgeous!
Also would like a Mac store close as closest is about and hour and a half away so i've never been :-/ x
Another non-entry here..
ReplyDeleteI also wish we had Sephora here in the UK. I'm so sad it was here and is gone!
I also wish the Makeup Forever was more widely available beyond a few specialist shops - I really want the HD foundation but London isn't exactly a trip up the road!
Well I wish we had Suqqu!! And I'd be happy to meet up with Rouge Bunny Rouge too.
ReplyDeleteEnter Me please.
ReplyDeleteI wish Sleek was in the US as I have been lemming the Sleek palettes for quite some time.
ohh sleek palette !hehe
ReplyDeletei wish we got elf and nars here !loll
I wish GROWN is here, it's an Australian brand with fabulous handcream and other stuffs, I'm a big fan. Also Sonia Kashuk's Target range. Plus some Japanese brands. My list could go on and on circling the world. :D
ReplyDeleteI don't want the palette thanks but you've sent me into another spin about the fact we can't get Edward Bess over here....I am SO working on it though! XX
ReplyDeleteNever have tryed this, but look very pretty will be happy to try my luck and to enter, because be honest never had win anything meybe here is my luck=)
ReplyDeleteThank You very much!
Beside i am realy agree with you about Beaute and Edward Bess i just love them, love, love, love
Oo fun competition.
ReplyDeleteI live on an Australia Island and in my city (if you can call it that) we dont have the following
***prepare to shocked***
ELF
TOO FACED
BENEFIT
MAC...thats right. No MAC...
MUFE
NARS
SMASHBOX
STILA
SLEEK
V.S
D&G
OPI
ESSIE
BOBBI BROWN
LAURA MERCIER
URBAN DECAY
NYX
AND THE LIST GOES ON...
We do however have Dior and Chanel...go figure.
So I would politely like to request entry into your comp!
On a completely different subject, another product we dont get here and I wish we did... MINSTRELS. Those glorious little chocolate buds..
❤thank-you
First of all, let me say that I love your blog! As a lifelong Anglophile who has only been to visit London twice thus far, I an fascinated by Sleek and all of the other great makeup lines available in the UK, and I really enjoy reading about your adventures in exotic (to me!) makeup.
ReplyDeleteI currently live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, a remote and frequently cold place. (Winter truly lasts for 6 months up here!) I don't have in-person access anywhere within hundreds of miles to anything but the most basic drugstore cosmetics lines. I order a lot of stuff online, but sometimes a girl just wants to try stuff out in person, you know?
If I could have one cosmetics wish granted, it would be for some shop in my town to carry the Lipstick Queen line. I adore all of her products, and would be thrilled to try out her new launches without having to drive 8 hours south to Chicago.
Thank you for hosting the giveaway, and for sharing your cosmetics explorations with your fellow obsessives!
Barry M
ReplyDeleteI'm in London, and I wish we had Covergirl, Milani, NYX, Nfu-Oh, Wet n Wild, MUFE, Sonia Kashuk, and Lipstick Queen. Heck, I wish we had every single brand of makeup! LOL. It would so please my makeup-obssessed self. :) And this isn't really a wish for a brand that isn't here per se, but I wish we had cheaper prices on US brands. :( They're so terribly marked up here it isn't even funny...

So greate i will try my luck!=)
ReplyDeleteI wish we had Illamasqua, it is carried online, but at stores it is very very select cities that carry it. I would love to go into a store and try on the product and buy some illamasqua. The colors look gorgeous. Sleek would be good to get a hold of too, I actually was looking into this palette, the colors look gorgeous, i wouldnt know where to get a hold of it!
ReplyDeleteWish we had sleek over here, crown brushes,NYX and of course Edward Bess. I would do more shopping online from makeup sites in America but I got hit with a big customs charge at the door. Beauty products are ridiculously overpriced here in Ireland! Would love to win this palette. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteReally wish we had sleek and nyx over here in Ireland. This palette looks gorgeous. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI wish we had ARTDECO in the USA....and Douglas perfumerie overall. I can't seem to find Bruno Banani either!
