I saw this at the NARS counter on Thursday, and it's beautiful. I've been interested in the Night Breed shadow after seeing this picture of Daphne Guinness wearing it in the NARS 15th anniversary book (link to the article where I found this picture here.)
The colours are (top left to right, then bottom left to right):
Abysinnia, Sugarland, Fathom.
Cleo, Underworld, Night Breed.
I do already have the Underworld duo, but none of the other shades. If you don't own any NARS eyeshadows, the palettes are a great way to get a few at once for £37 (each duo costs £23.) There are other variations available on the NARS UK website here.
Picture of palette is from Sephora.com.

I bought 2 Nars eyeshadows a year ago and was very disappointed: Ashes to Ashes had no color payoff and Night Fever looked plain black on me.
ReplyDeleteBut I was recently told on a makeup forum that the quality of Nars e/s is better in duos and palettes, so I ordered the Pleasures of Paris palette from this Fall's collection and I like it, it's great for neutral looks. That made me order the 9947 palette from last Winter, which is a bit more warm in tones and appropriate for smokeys. I'm happy as a clam with these products!
And now you're making me want more! ;-)
Hi Musing on Beauty - yes, some of the singles can lack payoff, and the pigmentation of some of the older duos can be off too. The more recent duos and the palettes have been much better quality.
ReplyDeleteThe 9947 is beautiful, I love Ondine. :)
I'm such a palette whore, I haven't really gotten into NARS palettes yet (I just have one) because I don't think I'd be able to restrain myself...! This one looks really pretty though.
ReplyDeletei've just purchased the nars lust for life palette from ebay, its stunning, will do a review soon! until i figure out how to apply eyeshadow properly i won't be investing in any eyeshadow only palettes though! x
ReplyDeleteI like the look of this palette a lot, I'll be sure to check it out in London when I finally set foot in the UK again at the end of the month! I received my Pleasures of Paris palette just the other day (ordered from narscosmetics.eu, they now ship to European countries themselves so I don't have to wait for stuff to appear on hqhair!) and I also have 9937 which I like a lot! I love ondine too! With the Pleasures of Paris I also got the famous Mekong...gorgeous! I'm also lusting after Essential Eye palette, my wallet is not happy! xx
ReplyDeletethis palette does look really nice!!! i saw it on the Sephora website...i forgot to tell you that your item should be arriving to my house on Tuesday! just letting ya know....hehe
ReplyDeleteHi Star Violet - NARS is definitely habit-forming. I have a terrible Duo habit!
ReplyDeleteHello Amina - is that one of his mixed palettes? They also look gorgeous.
Hi Anna - be sure to give it a look. (I thought it was Cordura in the Pleasures of Paris, although I could be wrong. Either way, it's a beautiful palette.)
Hi Popcorn - thanks for letting me know - I hope you're enjoying your Suqqu; could you bring yourself to use it yet? :)
yes it is a mixed palette has some red lip colours including an old favourite of mine dolce vita, and a couple of bright blushes i havent tried, including mata hari. might do a fotd if i'm feeling brave! x
ReplyDeleteOh, sorry, I worded it wrongly...it is Cordura in the Paris palette, I meant to say that I ALSO bought Mekong single!! xx
ReplyDeleteHi Amina - I'd love to see a FOTD :)
ReplyDeleteHi Anna - oh :) I am really very close to caving on Mekong, even though I have the Cordura duo (which is quite similar) - there's something very special about that eyeshadow! x
