The ladies on a makeup board I am a member of (Emakemeup - my username and reviews there are under Grace) all seemed a bit tickled by the idea of me going avant garde, but I am determined to do something different than my usual sludge-coloured-eyes-and-red-or-rose-lipstick.
My dilemma is - what do I do with my face beforehand? Wear no or minimal makeup? Or a full face? I usually go with just concealer and brows if I know I'm going for a makeover, but I'm also interviewing at work on Friday so I don't want to scare the interviewee. I also don't want to frighten the poor makeup artist dealing with me by thinking they have a total cosmephobe on their hands...

I was thinking about this too. I'm going to have a full-on face of makeup as I'm doing a half day at work. Was wondering whether to bring some wipes or not. What do you think?
ReplyDeleteNow, I wasn't sure if we were having a makeover or whether it would be on models and we could take notes etc? Do you think they'll be doing it on us then? I wonder how many people will be there.
How funny all of us stepping on to the streets of London with Dare To Be Different faces on!
Hi Helen
ReplyDeleteWhen I booked the appointment, the girl at the counter said that Alex Box would be leading the class, but we'd each be doing our own makeup with the counter makeup artists helping us. They've limited the number of each class to 20, and it's being held in a room off the sales floor so it won't be too manic. After we've finished the class, the MAs will take us to the counter if we want to purchase anything.
I think I'm going to chuck some simple wipes and a moisturiser in my bag. I am sure they'll have cleanser etc though.
