By Terry Rose de Rose liquid blush giveaway

This looks so pretty in the jar, but I've worn it twice and both times washed it off and started over. I do not like shimmery blushes, I prefer cooler tones generally and this is very very subtle (which I am not.) I must have been in a fugue state when I bought this. I swear I was pmsing (I always buy very ugly clothes or very atypical (for me) cosmetics at that time of the month. It's better than breaking things or yelling at Mr London, I suppose.)

There is nothing sadder than an unloved product, so I'm going to give it away if anyone is interested. If you are, please leave a comment (I'd love feedback on the type of posts/reviews you're interested in) and a name will be picked out of the hat at random next Sunday, 5 July. I'm going to ask that you're a follower of my blog for the sake of this so I can be sure I'm giving it to the right person when the winner (assuming more than one person wants it) is announced (yes, I am slightly paranoid. I'm a forensic accountant by day who has dealt (professionally) with scam artists - you know - the "You've won the Canadian Lottery" type.) Alternatively, please email me when you leave a comment so I can be sure I'm giving it to the person who entered!

Colour is 02 Corail Rose. It's been used twice. It smells (strongly) of rose.

Open to all, not just UKers.

  1. Hi Grace London
I've been a folower of your blog for a few days now. I'm hopelessly adicted to all things beauty and regularly read about 50 or so blogs. I love the fact that you live in London, as do I, and have access to the same kind of products.
I also like your choice of products for (detailed and considered) review like the one on Le Metier de Beaute which, as it happens was the latest brand I discovered on a recent trip to the States, and would enjoy reading more reviews of high-end products and shopping or salon/spa experiences.
It would be great to try the by Terry blusher, one of her few products I haven't tried yet, so I'd love a chance at your giveaway...
Oh, and if at some point in time you get bored with the day job, I guess you could consider a career in haiku composition... :-)

  2. Hi Nina

Thanks for the v helpful feedback, and good luck in the draw :)

Haikus are strangely addictive once you get going - it's Mr London's fault for getting me started!

  4. Hi Grace,
I started reading your blog less than a month ago looking for reviews on Le metier de Beaute and Illamasqua, and I love your comments. You sound objective, your blog is not full of pictures of yourself (GREAT), we have almost the same age therefore the same sensibility in what are we looking and makeup and stuff, well did I mention you have the only blog I register as a follower? yes, I did register as a follower for the first time.

  7. Hi Grace

I'm considering purchasing this (cheaper in the UK than in France, go figure?!) and your comment here has alarmed me. I'm currently struggling with the Armani fluid sheer in #11 and thought I'd try a different cream blush. This has rave rave reviews but not from you...

How sparkly *was* it? I too hate anything remotely glittery or sparkly/shimmery, and I just saw Lisa Eldridge use it on her most recent tutorial. I'm looking for a coral/ coral-pink colour - a good quality cream/liquid blush that's not too staining, if that makes sense. Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance for your wisdom!

  8. Hi Jo

It was a bit too shimmery for me, but my biggest problem with it was the scent, which I found overpowering. I didn't find it gave much colour either, it was more shimmer than colour.

I'd recommend Ellis Faas Blush S302 instead, without hesitation. It lasts well, it doesn't stain and 't isn't glittery, just subtly luminous.
